Jerry's POV.

After dinner I search for Layler like crazy, she didn't come to have dinner with us of which I understand perfectly.
She told me that the child is dead, that she killed our child, little did I know that someone else did that.

I mourned for my child already but now that I know that it wasn't Layler's fault, I have this sudden urge to kill whoever it is that shot my child.
I open the door to her office and I find her looking outside the window wearing her purple silk gown.

I walk in and then I lock the door behind me.
"What are you doing here?" She asks.

"Why did you lie to me?" I ask as I walk closer to her.

"What are you talking about?"

"Our son! Ethan!"
I have been googling Layler before I met her for business, but later I googled her and found her will, she had left a lot for our son, Ethan so yeah....at first I was confused about who Ethan is, now it makes sense.
She looks at me and then she turns back to the window.
I grab her right arm and I turn her to me.

"Who shot you?" I ask while piercing into her eyes.

"Ask Caleb"

"huh?"

"You heard me"

"What does Caleb have to do with anything?"

"A lot more than you think" She says as she escapes my grip on her arm.

"I love you" Shit I did not just say that.
She looks at me and then she looks outside, she must find something fascinating out there.

I stand next to her and I look outside to see what exactly she is looking at.
There is a man, a woman and two kids who are playing outside in the rain...they look rather...adorable.

"You know, I lost two kids already...I can't help thinking that should be me" She says with a sad tone...I look at her and I see tears flowing from her eyes.
I lift my hand trying to wipe her tears away...

"Don't" She says as she moves away from the window and then she sits at the corner on the floor.

"I mean it Layler"

"Oh? Do you mean it when you tell Diana as well? Please just leave"
I do not know what exactly is worse, the fact that Diana is in our room planning our wedding that is coming up on New Year's Eve while I am out here trying to convince her cousin, my cousin that I love her...the mother of my first child?

I really do not want to complicate things any further, if I can just stay away from Layler then less complications will take place.
She stands up, fixes her gown and then she walks back to the window...It must be nice to be that window right now, it is more appreciated by the one person who has isolated herself from everyone.

I head on out and I go to my room.
Diana is sound asleep and I turn off the lights and join her.
