Alvaro's POV."You cannot just shut down the Brothel without asking for Layler's permission" I say to Bauti.
It has been 2 months now since Layler left and it's like the more the days go by the more Bauti seems to be losing his mind.
Ever since Layler left Bauti has been depending on booze to help soothe his pain, one would swear that Layler actually passed away, he even cancelled the route guy Jerry and then he got one of Mcdilly’s sons to give him a route which was smart because he is making more money now.
"She didn't ask for my permission to leave as well so hey!" He says as he throws a full bottle of Vodka to the wall.
I do not even know how he managed to drive to the hood with Andy in his car and him being this drunk, if his girl found out he is dead.
Jane is a nurse and she happens to be working late night shift for the week so Bauti has been looking after Andy. It's 00.35am right now and we are at the hood, he is sitting on his desk and Andy is sleeping on the couch."Okay you know what? You can spend the night here and then I will take Andy with me to my house, then we will talk when you-"
"No! You are going nowhere with Andy, if you want to leave you are welco-"
We hear gunshots being fired, it sounded like it came from the club. Bauti jumps right off his desk and then he picks Andy up then he heads for the door."Dude are you insane? Exit using the window!"
"You always feel like telling me what to do. Are you the flipping constitution!?"
"You can exit but leave Andy I will get him out safely"
"I am more than capable of getting my son out safely thank you" And with that he takes his car keys and he walks out with Andy all the way to the club.
I run after him pleading with him to put Andy back in the office at least but Andy soon wakes up and he starts crying and I hear Bauti shouting at Andy telling him to shut up because he is giving him a headache.
Why did Bauti even come with Andy to the club tonight? He knows that Friday nights are reserved for battle of the gangs and shots are fired all the time here
When we reach the club, we realize that there are actually 5 or 6 more gangs all around the club firing shots at each other, the waitresses, strippers and costumers are on the floor making sure that the guns do not shoot any of them.Bauti takes out his gun from his back pocket and he fires a shot while walking drunkenly to the exit. Some member from the gang far across the room points a gun at him when he is about to exit, he is completely unaware of this so I shout out his name warning him to look out and as he sees that the bullet is fast approaching he puts Andy in front of him as a shield and the bullet goes right through Andy’s tiny chest.
The whole crowd pauses, the gangs exit and I rush to Bauti and I find him on his knees holding Andy's body in his arms. It's like the booze just left his system the minute he realized what just happened.
He gives me a teary eyed look as if pleading with me to help, I take little Andy's body and then I tell Bauti to get up because we are taking Andy to the hospital. I get inside my car and Bauti takes a seat on the passenger's seat and he holds Andy, he used one of my emergency shirts that I keep in the car to stop the excessive bleeding, and with that I drive off to the hospital.
