Layler’s POV.

I get to my car and then I decide that I will just drive around the city then later on I will go home.

I turn on the radio and they are playing Nelly's "dilemma" and I just laugh at the irony.

I knew that Frank had moved back here, but for him to be Jerry’s uncle? Jerry is a Mercy, something I never knew...the problem with referring to people using nicknames! If I didn’t call him Jeff or Jack, I could have picked up his last name.

Furthermore the Frank character decides to enrage me by referring to me as his daughter really? He could have said something smarter than that.

After today's episode I've decided to hide the pregnancy from my family and also from Jerry, just for safety measures. Bauti and Alvaro will surely keep quiet.

After driving around I eventually arrive home at 11pm.
I enter my house and there is no sign of people in this house. I walk upstairs still no sign, I am not even bothered, I enter my room then I take a quick shower and then I go to sleep.
Sunday morning my nena tried to wake me up but I told her to go to church alone. I decided to stay in bed all day and my nena made food for me when she came back from church.
She walks into my room and then she places a bowl of yogurt and as she is about to exit I call her.

"Nena"

"Yes dear?"

"What do you know about dad and the Mercy brothers?" I ask and she gives me a long look and then she decides to take a seat on my bed.

"Why do you ask?"

"Curious"

"Oh my dear, the Mercy brothers brought sadness into this family and I ended up losing my one and only daughter Quela" She smiles at the memory of her daughter.

My nena had 3 kids. My uncle Luke, he lives in Canada with his wife Kate and their daughter Diana. Then my father, and then she had my aunt Quela. Aunt Quela died long before my parents but we were never told the cause of her death by anyone. I never knew her, I just saw her pictures around the house.

"Nena?"

"Yes dear"

"I love you" I simply say and she smiles as she walks out of my room.
I slept the whole day.

Monday I still wasn't feeling well so I did the same thing that I did Sunday.
Tuesday morning I decided to wake up at noon, I took a shower, wore shorts and an oversized blue hoody and timberlands. I go downstairs and I find that there is nobody. I see a big poster on the kitchen fridge. It's a collage of my pictures and a note on the side.

Happy birthday big sis we love you- from the twins and nena.

"You got the note honey" My nena says as she walks into the kitchen

"Advocate Roosevelt is here to see you"

"Bring him this side" I say as I walk to the living room and he comes in then my nena leaves us alone.

"Hello there" He says casually.

"Hey, what's the news Avocado?"

"Advocate...this" He gives me an envelope "You are officially 25 and this was said to be given to you when you reach this age"

"Oh okay thank you"

"That is pretty much all from me, tell your nena thanks for the tea" and with that he walks out, no goodbye? Unmannered fool!
