Two days later, Liam continued to think about the brunettes from the coffee shop. Unfortunately, after the bodyguards got the brunettes' number, some random fan ripped the paper from the guards and bolted off. So he had no number, no one to apologize.

Liam combed his hair incessantly as he returned to his hotel room from another day of soundcheck with his mates. What will she think of me if I don't call her, he pondered.

When he got to his room he rummaged through his thoughts. He began to listen to his heart beat quicken. This means something, he announced to himself. Then he decided to dial his personal lawyer. He wanted to get the divorce papers ready for Sophia.

Or should I talk to one of the lads? Liam asked himself. But when the other end of the phone answered, Liam told him about the divorce he wanted to have with his wife. You may believe that Liam wasn’t in his proper state of mind and had just recently got married with Sophia. But he had a feeling that it was the right thing to do. Sophia broke her vow of fidelity. That gave him the right reason to call.

After Liam debated with the lawyer, the papers were ready and have been sent to his email.

Last Saturday, after his meeting with his friends, Liam told Sophia upfront about how he felt about “love at first sight”. The result was that Sophia shouted at him and smacked his coffee out his grip.

After the sudden memory had faded away, the door was unlatched and his newly wedded wife sludge down onto the couch. This was not going to be a good day for her.

"Sophia," Liam whispered.

"What?" His wife scolded as she pulled herself up from the couch. "We just got married!"

When will she understand that I don't want to be with her, he thought. Liam was not feeling good and sprinted into the hotel's halls.

"You have a concert to attend! At least be considerate about that!" Sophia yelled.

Yet she did not know how considerate he really was.

The aroma of toasted sandwiches from the small restaurant did not lingered as the thoughts Stephanie had for Liam did.

"Stephanie... Lesley, how was your day at the café? Anything new?" asked Lesley’s sister, Alexia.

“Nothing today… But on Saturday there were a lot of people,” Stephanie responded.

"Oh, I know!” Vanessa jumped from her seat. "Alexia, you have been studying so much that we have not told you something."

Alexia looked up from her textbookand.

"I think you girls finally seen Queen!" She announced excitedly.

Some people glanced up at her, and she looked back down to her textbook.

“No-oh! Liam was at the coffee shop. There was screaming fans running after Liam Payne!" Lesley said.

"Oh... Are you serious?" Alexia asked.

“It's true!" Vanessa gasped.

“Good, I thought I was imaging him!" Stephanie said and then she giggled.

“He talked about you two! You should tell me more about him!" Vanessa cried.

"Well, Lesley and I were at our regular spots outside the coffee shop playing with our guitars,” responded Stephanie; Vanessa nodded.

“And then we noticed someone running towards us. The guy's eyes met with mine and I was startled. Was it Liam? I thought. When he was at a close talking proximity, he apologized for surprising us. Then he entered the coffee shop," explained Stephanie.

"At first," Lesley added, the other girl who was with Stephanie outside the coffee shop. “We thought he looked similar to Liam, but then I remembered that he was back in London."

"Because One Direction is having a concert tonight?" Alexia asked, puzzled.

"How do you know?" One of them asked.

"I read it from uni's newspaper, a section my fri--."

Alexia’s phone played Knights of Cydonia by Muse. She hurried towards her phone in her purse. Apologized for the interruption and answered it. After the call she gasped and informed that she had to go back to her job at the publishing company in London.

“We will tell you more later, okay?" said Stephanie.

"Ye-ah." Alexia slowly stared at them before packinh up her MacBook and textbook into her black leather purse.

“Thanks for your feedback on the lyrics!” Alexia expressed to her younger cousins and sister. “Ciao!” She saluted and left the restaurant.

After a brief moment Stephanie continued the conversation. "When the screaming fans waited outside the Retrouvailles, the weirdest thing occurred. Liam spoke to his body guards and the body guard went to us for my number!"

Lesley nodded and Vanessa combed her long brown hair rapidly and repeatedly.

“I didn’t seem to notice that. Apparently we had a lot of customers. And then?" Vanessa asked enthusiastically.

"We ran," interrupted Lesley, "the fans were about to stampede us when they noticed that we were asked for our numbers."

They glanced at each other. If you were there, you could have heard their heart beating at the rhythm of hot popcorn popping. It was almost like the girls were screaming for Liam.

Vanessa, Lesley and Stephanie had just remembered why they were in London. Alexia, Stephanie's and Vanessa's older cousin and Lesley's oldest sister, had offered them a place to live for a year they were studying at the University of London. They agreed to it, so that they could get a small glimpse of the Old English world and British musicians such as One Direction.

They packed up and were ready to continue through their week, but they had to wait for  tomorrow—since it was winter break—to go back to their usual spot outside the coffee shop.

If only Liam would call them...
