A picture of Jared! (Actor: Luke Benward)

Wednesday, March 19th, 7:01AM [Same day]
Vanessa felt her lips stretch into an undesirable snarl. Jared introduced himself as the backup drummer of My Summer Sensation, since they didn't had one. They did before. In fact it was Jared when he and Vanessa were dating. He was kicked out of My Summer Sensation when they broke up. Vanessa's eyes landed on Stephanie, disapprovingly.
"So now that your drummer came, let's get going'!" exclaimed Louis, wanting to dismiss the tension.
Harry pulled his hair back with his bandana, relieving his hair from upcoming sweat. Louis had to guide everyone outside into the backyard. A massive tent was already set up for the wedding with round tables and wooden chairs below. Common Colors got on the stage to start off. The electric guitar was connected to the amp, ready to go.
As they sang some cover songs, Stephanie pulled Vanessa aside, while Lesley stayed and contemplated their rivals performance. In the case of Lesley, she didn't know Jared was going to perform with them at Louis' wedding, it didn't affect her at all unlike Vanessa.
"Hey Vanessa, I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Jared. We both know that our band is incomplete without a drummer. He's the only one that has played in this band and can practically learn our songs in no time..." Stephanie explained.
Her lips dropped closed, worried that it wouldn't convince Vanessa. Vanessa had to look away from her brown eyes. She didn't know how to contend with difficulties. The idea of her ex coming to play with them again was unbelievable. Especially now that Harry was there.
"I can handle it for now," Vanessa whispered then with a small smile. She was going to tell her that they could have used the drummer from Common Colors. But she agreed with Stephanie about Jared knowing and learning their songs quickly. Stephanie started to walk away towards Lesley.
At first Vanessa was still thinking about the inferno of Jared being there. But then she remembered that there are other people she could be with, like sweet Harry.
Vanessa's eyes roamed back to where everyone was; watching and hearing Common Colors play. Zayn stood by Jared, apparently conversing. Vanessa changed her sight from them immediately. Then she glanced at Harry to lower the tension about Jared. But it did not help. Harry caught her staring, and it was a queue for him to be with her. But the voice of Sandra vanished suddenly and a new one emerged. Harry turned to get a glimpse of Lesley singing. Actually everyone did. Vanessa lost focus about Harry and glared at Sandra and Lesley, as if they just bought the last ticket to a One Direction concert.
Sadly, that was somewhat the case. From Harry's green eyes to Niall's blue, they were captivated by the voices on stage.
Stephanie, a few steps from Vanessa, was also caught off guard. Her eyebrows spread slowly, as if watching someone fly for the first time.
Stephanie walked backwards to Vanessa slowly. "Do you think that... Um..." Stephanie whispered to Vanessa.
"Let's just not think about it," Vanessa replied.
Once Common Colors finished the three songs for the wedding, they left the stage to My Summer Sensation. Stephanie paced towards the piano, Vanessa to her DJ set and Lesley to the mic. While this occurred, Jared showed off his new moves with his drumsticks.
"First cover song," Lesley announced briefly. She glanced back at Jared, Vanessa and Stephanie, so that they could start off the song. But her two cousins remained intrigued in their thoughts. Vanessa practically had her headphones on completely and closed her eyes. Stephanie kept her eyes on her keyboard. Jared just worked with the assignment. Lesley turned to face the small crowd. She bit her lip while Vanessa's DJ solo was going on. She noticed that the boys were giving a reassuring smile, which meant that she was doing great.
After the third song, the girls were not feeling the music anymore. Stephanie had Vanessa in mind the whole time. Stephanie hated to be in a conflict with Vanessa about Jared, when really Stephanie was trying to solve the problem of the missing drummer. Vanessa despised Jared as if her anger was a volcano ready to abrupt. Lesley just hated the ignorance between them.
"Girls, go take a break," Liam's voice startled the girls.
"There are water bottles in the fridge," cried Louis, preoccupied that the girls will neglect their promise to perform at the wedding.
Vanessa dashed to the kitchen for a water bottle. Once she had one, she decided to go to one of the guest rooms. She sat and drank up. Even though she was not the lead singer, her throat felt coarse.
The flash of blond haired in the guest room disturbed her moment of solitude.
"I don't understand you, Vanessa, I'm not trying to make your life impossible. You and your cousins have too much pressure from the band."
"I know what you're trying to say, that having a drummer is crucial for the band, but I feel that the band is better off without you."
"You hypocrite! That's a lie. At the beginning of the year when you were recruiting for a drummer, you told me that I made it into the band because you were better with ME! Good luck finding another drummer," Jared yelled and left right away.
Moments later the person she would have hoped to stay away from this mess came in. His curly hair was as chaotic as her problem.
Harry took a second before sitting down next to Vanessa. "So, I feel bad for intervening, but we need you back."
"Oh, whoa! It's that you're excuse to talk to me?"
"Oh, goodness! You caught me!" Harry grinned at her and she slipped a small smile. "I've been planning to talk to you but I've no idea when. Especially since we've been so busy with music. And you! You have uni. Woah! How do you even manage?"
Vanessa started to laugh. "I survive with music and other stuff." She wanted to continue to spent time with Harry but they had to go back.
The next minute seemed to stop. Harry watched her brown eyes as they got closer. Vanessa knew that this would alleviate her problems and to remind her the last time they have kissed was real.
As we all knew it was going to happen, Lesley intruded their intimate moment. "Vanessa! They're here! Oh, my God, 5 Seconds of Summer is here!"

9:52 pm...
The Australian boy band, 5 Seconds of Summer, visited briefly for rehearsals. They sang acoustically and once in awhile glanced at the girls, wondering who they were. Unfortunately, they had to leave for a small performance in town. Luke, Michael, Calum and Ashton waved at them as they left.
Later that night, Common Colors left, ready to show up on Saturday morning for the real deal. One Direction summoned My Summer Sensation into the living room for a quick chat.
The boys sat in front of the girls, on the other cozy couch. Liam stood up with a small white business card. It had the name of Shawn Peter, the manager of Cloudless Night Club, located in the closest city.
"He is interested in booking you girls for a performance at the nightclub," Liam said, with a grin. It was more for Stephanie than the rest.
"When and where?" intervened Vanessa before Stephanie could say anything.
"In Bentley, about 2.5 kilometers* away. It's this Friday," added Harry, glancing at Vanessa.
"Anyway, we will be away for the bachelors night, the night before the wedding," Zayn mentioned at them.
The girls stared at each other. Stephanie knew that they couldn't be with them. It would be their [girl] night, too. Lesley just nodded. They agreed with the plan for Friday.
