Liam's point of view...

Friday, January 10, 6:50 PM

[Same Day]

I settled down my coffee cup onto the floor. The soft wisps of smoke dance momentarily, before vanishing to where Stephanie stood. Her long curly hair sprawled down her back. A couple of strands twirled freely, which reminded me of her wide range of vocals she could do.

The off tune of Stephanie’s guitar brought me back to my small critique meeting with Stephanie. She had asked me to hear one of My Summer Sensations songs before I had shower and she called back home in London.

Just yesterday we went to a fashion runway, or more a Avan Garde runway. At the catwalk the models wore some of the most elaborate designs from the 1920s but set in the future. When I sat I noticed Stephanie taking some pictures for her cousins. I really loved how caring she was with people. I hope she would be like once their band gets more exposure.

My mind returned back to the hotel room. Her voice resonated towards me.

“Hey, Liam! Are you ready?"

“Of course!” I babbled.

I returned my gaze towards Stephanie as she pulled her illuminating honey-coated guitar closer to herself. With he fingers she held a navy blue guitar pick. She strummed the strings slowly, making the hotel room feel tranquil.

Then she started to sing, “Ooh… Ooh… Ooh… Hmm…”

Her brown eyes focused on the neck of the guitar. Each melody strummed made the snow look like it was dancing according to it. The wisps of smoke from every chimney followed the tune as well. Every note coexisted with the winter world, but something was missing. After hearing her voice, I felt everything fitted together. Her voice caressed the rhythm as she sweetly sang, “I think I'd like the idea… Of glancing at you once more… I’ll take the chance and look your way… I’ll take your hand in mine, is that okay?”

As her voice trailed off slowly she closed her eyes. That simple action made me to close mine too. But I yearned to lay my eyes as she hummed softly. “When I take a look back at what I saw… I see you and I’m in awe…. Who could ever forget you, baby….”

After plucking the guitar in a constant rhythm, she returned to singing,  “The thought of you and me lights up my day… It makes me feel much better… I’m on my way… To see you… At Valencia….”

Started to play a little faster, strumming in a beat of one... one... one... two... one... three... three.... “The light shines on the streets… Guiding her to this place… Leaving a path behind…Leading us to… Another story…”

I couldn’t help looking behind the little nature dances; the soft, bundles of snow and the twirl of the swirly fog. They made me feel that I was a unique concert. “When I take a look back at what I saw… I see you and I’m in awe…. Who could ever forget you, baby….”

Another rift sprang to life, while she sang, “The thought of you and me lights up my day…. It makes me feel much better… I’m on my way… To see you… At Valencia….”

She stopped, taped at the bottom of her guitar creating a soft thump-beat. “Seeing you is like experiencing… The beach in the morning…Your eyes landing on me like rays… Oh baby how I loved those days….”

I was still learning who she was and Stephanie was so close to reaching the alto vocal but her phone vibrated, “The thought of you and me lights up my day… It makes me feel much better… I’m on my way… To see you… At Valencia….”

I smiled and clapped my hands, “That's a vibrant and soothing song… How magical.”

“Thanks! We’ve shown it to others before and they said something similar.”

I nodded and observed her fingers pull randomly some chords. She was unaware the fresh new tunes she was creating. I tilted my head in awe.

“I was hoping to go to Valencia with my cousins one day,” she whispered.

“You girls should film the music video there.” I checked the antique clock on the wall and see that it was almost time for the piano performance.

“Well, I got some tickets at a well known music theater for a piano performance and we’ll have dinner afterwards.”

"You shouldn't have..." Stephanie smiled.

"For the two of us," I announced, while I lifted my coffee cup.

She rose her left eyebrow, beamed and pulled her guitar up. I took a sip of my coffee and she strummed her guitar. I really hoped she was the one.
