Lesley pulled her guitar over her shoulders. It wasn't the triumph of removing a guitar after a successful (kick-ass) gig. It was one were Lesley didn't want to be seen by anyone. (Although many people at the audience would refute that My Summer Sensation had an unsatisfactory performance, like their amigos that with the Winter/Summer Poster.)
The pale brunette decided to repose momentarily on the ground. She pulled her guitar to her torso and began tuning it, as if she was preparing for the second round. But after the realization that My Summer Sensation would not be returning, she strummed the strings ferociously, to the extent of ripping the poor guitar's soul. Then the scurried footsteps approximating towards Lesley. From afar the five guys she had become to known at the beginning of the year paced hurriedly towards her. Their presence soothed her nerves for a bit, but their massive poster tensed her shoulders. She really wished to have worn her lather jacket. That was it, she thought, I didn't perform well because I didn't had it.
A couple of meters away from her stood and debriefed the two remaining members of My Summer Sesantion; They would not always win.
After Lesley latched her guitar shut, she got up from the ground and was caught by surprise by lead singer of Arctic Monkeys. Her two cousins gaped for a moment before nodding at him. The brunette with his black leather jacket caught her eyes instantly. "Hello, my name's Alex. I'm sorry for the loss. But I wanted to let you know that you girls are superb guitarists."
Lesley stared at him as if he just told her that the planet is round. Although she loved the Arctic Monkeys, she pretty much detested anyone in the music industry at the moment. She had another realization: The music folks take it for granted.
Lesley, with her manners still operating, replied, "Thank you."
Alex scratched his back nervously. He coughed, wanting to continue the short conversation that was slowly dying by the second. "My Summer Sensation will always be welcome to tour with us..." he mentioned.
Lesley seemed to have not heard him. Her mind was focused on the idea that the guys were walking tremendously slowly. Moments later her eyes flickered to the recognition of his offer.
"Thank you again," she said and smiled in form of gratitude. Lesley knew that she was not in the proper state of mind, so she presented him Alexia's contact. "I think we're going to relax a bit, but here's our manager's number," Lesley told him, trying to hold her tensed lips from a tremendous sighing. She pulled the straps of her guitar and slung it over her shoulders.
Vanessa and Stephanie stopped their conversations. They had heard Alex's offer but allowed Lesley to make the final decision. They were conformed at Lesley's decision. Alex was about to talk them but dismissed it and sauntered away.
The second after that, their five friends jogged up to where the three brunettes were reunited.
Louis spoke instantly, "You girls are sensational performers!"
Niall continued the support after Louis. "Those bloody arse judges don't know anything about judging," Niall asserted as he took the weigh of Lesley's guitar from her.
"Awesome hair colors!" inquired Liam, a way to prevent the disseminate of stress.
Lesley picked the tips of her lilac hair and said, "Oh yeah, thanks."
Vanessa nodded of appreciation for her red hair and continued to focus on the conversation.
Stephanie smiled at him weakly, as if saying: At least you're trying.
