Yay! Two votes, thank you! :D So here's chapter two...

Chapter 2

Something prickly is under my face. It isn't comfortable. Wait, is that voices? Hold on, am I alive? Half drowned, certainly, but also half alive. How is it possible?

"Simon! Come and look at this, there's something here!" One voice yelled.

"What is it, Lewis?" The one I assume is called Simon shouted back.

"There's... a girl!" Probably Lewis exclaims.

I heard footsteps coming closer, then felt someone touch my neck for a heartbeat, I guess.

"She's dead..." He informs the other.

I thought I was alive, am I breathing? Oh, no, I probably should've checked that... Come on, I don't plan on leaving just yet! Neither does my curiosity, I need to find out who these people are, and if there's anyone else. Breathe! Please breathe! My body shuddered, and I coughed violently, throwing up what seemed like gallons of water until I could finally breathe. I took in a ragged breath, then put a hand to my head, groaning.

"Lewis! She's alive, not dead!" Simon squeals, "Unless she's a zombie, in which case she's undead!"

I pushed myself up, propping myself on my elbows, and opening my eyes to look at them. "I'm pretty sure I'm not a zombie. Though I certainly feel awful..."

"How are you alive? You were dead a second ago." Lewis said, and I could now identify him with black hair.

"I thought I was alive, 'cause I could feel stuff, and hear you as well. Then you said I was dead, I panicked. But hey, I guess I have a will to live."

"Who are you?" Simon asked, a ginger dwarf.

"My name is..." I stopped, rolling onto my back. Who am I? I think I like the word infinity... so I guess I'm giving myself a name... "Infinity."

"Second name?" Lewis questions.

"Waters." I replied, thinking of the water that almost killed me.

"Okay, Miss Infinity Waters. Is it ok if we take you with us?" Lewis said.

"Yeah... I mean... it's not like I have anywhere to go, unless I count the sea as my home, and want to drown again." He nodded, smiling a little, then picking me up bridal style, taking me somewhere.

"Where did you come from?" The dwarf asked, running alongside to keep up.

"The last thing I remember is falling from the sky, then hitting the ocean, and now I'm here."

"You don't remember anything else? What about family? Any brothers or sisters, parents, uncles...?"

"Shush your face." I mumbled, putting one of my cold hands over his mouth.

"Come on Simon, she just came back from the dead, save the questions until she's back to full health."

I looked at him gratefully, and wriggled closer to him for warmth, falling asleep to the sway of walking. I felt I could trust these people, so I felt safe.

I woke up to see that I was in a small wooden building with several beds, and I saw... who was it, Lewis, lying in a bed to my left. Now I was dry, at least, and warm. He saw I was awake and looked relieved.

"We weren't sure if you would make it though the night."

"I told you, I have a will to live. I won't die on you any time soon!"

"That's good. How do you feel?"

"A lot better, thanks. Will you take me to see the world?" I asked with big puppy eyes.
