Heh heh... I think you might be able to tell that my writing style has changed/improved in this chapter, because I left this book for ages (not that you'll know), concentrating instead on my other fanfic(s), in which I have proceeded to improve my grammar and test out new techniques, also making the transition between First Person to Third Person purely for the sole reason that it seems more professional and also easier, as the author knows everything, and I can explain things in more detail (Sorry, did I seem protessional there? I didn't mean to :3). It will forever bug me, for I am OCD, but I will have to put up with it. *dramatic sigh with one hand on forehead* But I'll be continuing this because I've suddenly got more interested in it for no apparent reason, so maybe it'll be out sooner than I think? Arghh, I don't even know what I'm doing anymore! My sleep-deprived brain has gone derp mode °3·

But in my behind the scenes stories (which you'll hopefully see someday if I stop being lazy and continue writing them), they're all First Person, and will stay that way because I want them to stay more consistent than Pixels, Voxels, and Vectors, through which I changed from First to Third, and that annoyed me. It had to be done...

Right, sorry for ranting a little. But here's a chapter! (Uh, this is really strange. As I write this it's currently 17/04/14 (English date) at 10:55pm, and you guys don't even know of this book's existence- let alone see this chapter!)

(Martyn's POV)

I woke up, my eyes still closed with a smile on my face. When winter arrived, and Inthelittlefrost took over, my emotions got all out of whack and I could barely understand anything. It happens every year, and sometimes I hurt Toby, which is why I tend to stay away from him in the cold season. But now everything has settled, per say, I'm basically back to normal with the exception of the wintery colour scheme. I opened my eyes, my back aching from sleeping sitting up, and to my surprise saw Toby, asleep on the ground with Infinity next to him. This was bizarre for me, to say the least. I could travel slightly faster for longer due to my magic, but my friend was normal, yet got here soon after me. But maybe there were secrets he was keeping from me, just as I hid the fact that I was an elf until now. Maybe I don't know Toby as well as I thought... he could be a completely different person to the one I've known and grown to love.

(NO. No Sototallylittlewood intended. Just friendly/brotherly love, okay you derps? Love y'all! (Once again, friendly love (or is it?! (oh look, I'm having some fun bracket-ception here (such lel (dis is getting out of hand! (halp! (I can't stop! (I think I'm done (Maybe. (Nope! Okay, I'm done now.)))))))))) Oh my muffins! So many brackets! Plz halp, I'm gonna explode! *explodes into rainbows and muffins*)

I nudged my friend awake. "Hey Toby."

He backed away a little, a worried expression on his face. "Are you back to kind of normal?"

"Yeah, don't worry. By the way, how did you get here so fast?"

"What d'you mean? I only came a short while after you..." He replied, edging closer, but not too close for I was cold and he would be too.

"As an elf I have magic on my side to make me quicker and have more stamina. So in theory, I should've been waiting here for days, but instead only a few hours passed."

"You said it would take over three days travel to get here... but we made it in around two?"

"Over three days for any normal human. For me, only one day, if that. So you shouldn't be here unless there's something magical about you...?" I thought about all the time I'd spent with him, scanning my memories to see if there was anything odd about him, until I reached the recent event where he turned, then went back to normal and the wound healed up.
