WHO LIKES DAH PLOT TWISTS LAST CHAPTER GAVE YAH? I sure did! And I didn't even see that coming, either... yay for spontaneous storylines! So Infinity likes Ridge now... weird! Anywho... quickly take cover for whatever is gonna happen next! *hides under a massive pile of pillows*

Chapter 17

(Toby's POV) -Hehehe, aren't I mean...-

Infinity was taking too long inside, and it was too quiet all of a sudden. Simon and Lewis were originally saying stuff to her, but I never heard a reply, making me worry even more. I grabbed my sword and pushed open the door, expecting the worst, something that went along the lines of Ridge laughing maniacally while Infinity and the two guys badly injured on the ground. But somehow, this was worse. I dropped my weapon to the ground, making the dwarf and spaceman look over to me, seeming just as horrified as me at the scene unfolding. She was kissing Ridge, and by the looks of it, not being forced to. The Elf seemed unbeatably happy, eyes closed with her arms around the demigod's neck as he held her head up into the kiss.

"I-Infinity?!" I asked, not believing my eyes, hoping that it wasn't true.

Her eyes snapped open, and she instantly saw me, realised what she was doing and pulled away, ferociously slapping Ridge in the process. She took slow steps towards me, and her expression turned pleading as I backed away a little, shaking my head. Infinity's gaze seemed to get a little unfocused, and after a few steps she fell to the ground and didn't move. I didn't want to help her, because she seemed to have swapped sides, but at the same time I did, for she was a friend that could understand Martyn better than me. Simon and Lewis just stood there, not knowing what to do, just like me, and soon Ridge stepped towards her.

He glanced at each of us, a look of disgust on his face. "Why are none of you helping her? Do you not care for her?"

When we didn't reply or make any moves, he carefully scooped her up into his arms and stormed out the door. I didn't know how to react, I didn't know what to feel or do. So I just kept standing there, staring blankly where they were kissing as the scene itself kept replaying in my mind.

"I don't understand!" I finally exclaimed, throwing my arms in the air and falling to my knees, feeling utterly lost.

Lewis put a hand on my shoulder. "It is a little confusing-"

"A little?!" Simon yelled, interrupting him. "One second she hates him, the next they're trying to eat each others faces! I mean, urghh!"

"-yeah... on second thoughts, very confusing, but it's her decision, and we have to respect it; no matter how much we dislike it. We know how you feel, friend." He finished, after the dwarf's outburst.

"She loves Martyn!" I shouted before thinking, before my eyes widened as I realised what I'd said and I just glanced at them awkwardly.

"Awwh, that's adorable! Probably why she didn't tell us when we were ganging up on her, because her crush was there." Simon laughed, and it lightened the mood a little.

"How'd you find out? Put a rope around her neck and tie her in a dark basement, threatening not to feed her if she doesn't tell?" Lewis added, grinning.

I rolled my eyes. "She told me willingly! Infinity dragged me -literally- down to the beach and made me promise not to tell anyone. I set them up, and it was going great until they kissed and magical stuff happened, making them faint. So they both love each other, I mean, Infinity used to, but now it seems like she's changed..."

"Maybe he was using magic to persuade her?" Lewis suggested, and I nodded, not wanting to believe that she'd gone with Ridge.

"Yeah, that's probably it." I stated, even though we all knew it wasn't, we just wanted to pretend that the scene hadn't happened on purpose.
