The only logical answer everybody, aliens!

Chapter 15

(Toby's POV)

I chuckled darkly as I set off, heading towards a patch of roses and picking a few before running to Inthelittlecorp, where Martyn was just sitting boredly and resting his head on one hand while he poked the dying fire with a stick. He perked up at my approach, instantly spotting the flowers and becoming suspicious.

"Marteeeeyn~!" I sang, dropping the bunch onto his lap while he just watched me with confusion.

"I might just run away while you're still a little sane." He muttered, standing up with the roses in one hand.

I giggled like a little kid. "I have goooood news! Guess what?!" All the while I was prancing around the fireplace and acting like an idiot on purpose.

He sighed, raising an eyebrow and lifting his hand. "I'm guessing it has to do with these?"

"Yeeeaaahsss!" I stopped bouncing around, instead pushing Martyn in the direction of the beach.

He dug his heels into the ground. "What's going on? Are you planning something?"

I scoffed. "Heh, course not! Why would I do that? Now, we have to be quick! Hurreeeeey!" I exclaimed, and began to jog with him following at a little slower pace.

Soon the trees began to thin out and the dirt changed into sand. We had arrived at the beach, and I dropped behind Martyn to give him a shove in the back that made him stumble forwards. He turned around and glared at me.

"What was that fo-" He began, but stopped when he looked in front of him, at Infinity.

I grinned, and slowly backed away into the cover of a bush, from which I planned to watch the proceedings. This was perfect...

(Toby is such a love expert... naw, sorry, I meant he has friends that are love experts... heh... heh... I REGRET NOTHING!)

(Martyn's POV)

When I looked up, I saw Infinity. She was just perfect, and seemed to be glowing in the warm light of the setting sun. Then everything clicked into place, the roses, the sunset, a beach, it was all so romantic. I turned around to look to Toby, but he had gone, making me roll my eyes as I looked back to my crush. She spun around, her sparkling hair flowing through the air like a wave, sending glittering droplets of water that caught the light just right and turned rainbow-coloured. Her shimmering eyes widened in shock, and her face tinted a faint red as she locked her gaze onto me then the roses still in my grasp. I took a few steps closer, reaching the waterline, and she came closer to me, neither of us breaking eye contact the whole time.

"Martyn..." She breathed, her voice sounding like water rippling over pebbles.

I gently passed her the roses, and she took them into her small hands. "Infinity... I..."

"I love you." We both said in sync, making us both laugh a little at how cliché it was, before we both realised what the other had said and fell silent, just staring into each other's eyes.

(Infinity's POV) -Sorry for the POV changes!-

He tentatively reached forwards and interlocked his hands with mine, and I didn't object. I was too lost in his gorgeous blue eyes to even think properly, no matter how cliché that sounds. It felt like sparks lit on my hands when he clasped them tighter, and I had butterflies in my stomach. Martyn moved a little closer, before we both leaned in and kissed. Fireworks erupted inside, and I regretted pulling away, especially when the feeling was quickly replaced with shock as I saw we were glowing turquoise. I began to feel dizzy, and when I collapsed Martyn tried to catch me, but he just fell too. I exchanged a worried glance with him before I fainted with one thought.
