I wanted to go home already right after the dance ended. I was content with how the night went. The song that played on our dance was right. I was blushing on my way home. Laura and Harvey wanted to stay, so I let them stay. After all, Harvey was going to drive her home. I let them have sex if they wanted to. I drove Sharon back to the hospital. Apparently, she told her aunt that she would go for the dance and she was fine, so it wasn't really a worry to them. And I drove home. I never saw Nick after I told him to get way back at the dance, but it didn't really matter. All I could think about was when Alex danced with me and kissed me on the forehead. I blushed every time. I couldn't stop my legs from shaking, so it wasn't easy to drive. The snow got pretty hard about that time, so a lot of students stayed at Neptune for a while. They weren't really staying there because of the storm. They just wanted to go straight to a bar. I didn't really know why the sheriffs don't arrest those underage drunks. They probably weren't doing their jobs properly.

When I got home, I rushed quickly to get inside our house. It was 11 o'clock, and the snow storm was really strong, so it was best for everyone to stay home. I got in the house and noticed that our kitchen light was still open. I looked at the kitchen and saw my mom sleeping on the chair. I took my jacket off and approached her.

"Mom." I shook her body, and she got awakened. She was waiting for me to arrive. I noticed she wasn't wearing her jacket and her skin was really cold. "Why are you sleeping there? It's freezing."

"It's okay." She said, trying to gain more consciousness. "Did you have fun?"

"Yeah." I smiled. "It was the best night ever. I've got to be grateful to dad for buying this dress."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Mom stood up and started walking to her room. "Are you gonna take care of things here?"

"I'll close everything." I told her so she could sleep already. "Good night."

"Good night." She went in and closed the door.

So, I locked the door and closed the lights. When I got to bed, I didn't change my clothes yet. I stood still on the floor and closed my eyes. I turned the lights down, and I pretended to dance. I tried to recall what it was like to dance with Alex. I was still wearing my heels even when I had a difficult time stepping with them. I moved and moved, pretending to imagine I was moving with Alex. I smiled. I could feel it. It felt like I was dancing with him in the stars. I did that for minutes. I kept repeating and repeating. When I got tired, I slammed myself on my bed and laughed. I felt like I was crazy, but I was happy. I kept getting flashbacks of when he kissed my forehead and the whole time we danced. I couldn't help but get goose bumps. I stayed up to 1 o'clock. I could see the time clearly, but I didn't care. I was ready to dream of Alex. I didn't care what might've come.

Out of the blue, my phone rang. I got a little intrigued. It might have been an emergency. I rushed to get my purse on the floor and reached my phone. I answered the call, and the caller was Harvey. I had a hunch it was trouble.

"Liyah, I need your help." He said as soon as I answered his call.

"Why, what happened? Where's Laura?" I started getting worried.

"She got too drunk. We're here at a friend of mine's house."

"You sound sober. Why don't you take her home?"

"That's not the problem." He said. "It's Sander that got me worried."

"Why? Alex got drunk, too?" I got even more worried. I didn't know Alex was with them.
