Morning Star (continuation of the twilight saga)
Chapter 2 part 2
Renesmee Cullen
I shivered. "Are you cold, Nessie?" Jake asked. "A little. But I'm ok." I lied. I was freezing in Uncle Jasper's arms, I had never been held by him, that I could remember anyway. So it was nice. It was...comforting. Uncle Jasper looked at me, "Yes you are, you are feeling guilt." he said walking over to Jake. "Ok, I lied but you never hold me and it was nice." I told him. "Even so, we can't have you freeze now can we?" he replied with a grin. I sighed why could he know peoples' feelings, it was frustrating."I'll hold you again soon. I promise." He handed me to Jake, once I was in Jake's arms, I instantly stopped shivering. I put my arms around his neck and rested my head on his chest, he was so warm. "I was hoping the reason wasn't that you didn't want to sit with me." He said with a grin. I looked at him "Jakie, I always want to sit with you." I told him sincerely. "And I always want to sit with-" the door opened with a creek. "Nessie! How are you? Are you ok?" my mother said with a worried look. "I'm fine mommy."I told her while I looked behind her "Where is daddy, isn't he coming?" I asked curiously. "Oh, of course! He had to hunt, he should be here soon." She replied with a smile, I smiled back at her. She looked at Jasper "She got distracted and calmed enough that she forgot I guess." He told her.
She stood, "Well I should probably go tell everyone you are ok, they were worried. Jasper you could probably come back to the main house if you would like."
"Are you sure?"
"It will happen eventually, and I think Jake can handle it, Edward will be here soon anyway."
"Ok, Bye Nessie. Bye Jake." Jasper said.
"Bye Ness. Bye Jake." Bella said.
"Bye mommy! Bye Uncle Jasper! I love you!" I said
"Bye." Jake said. They left.
"Let's go lay in your bed it will be warmer for you, it has blankets." Jake said. "Ok." He carried me to my room and we lay down under the covers, he put his arm around me to make sure I was warm enough. "Jakie, what were mommy and Uncle Jasper talking about when they said I forgot?" I suddenly felt dizzy like something terrible happened, but I didn't know what.
"Don't you remember your dream?" He asked.
I shook my head. "No I don't but I feel like something bad just happened."
"Well I don't want you to remember. Everything is ok, don't worry."
I yawned. "If you're tired just sleep." He told me. I nodded and slowly let myself drift to sleep.
Then I figured out what mommy and Uncle Jasper were talking about earlier, because I woke, terrified.
I shot straight up in my bed. Jake was no longer next to me, but in an instant him and my father were at my side, asking what was wrong. "The....the...the...v.v....v.v......Volturi." Within seconds I was in my father's arms being hugged to his icy chest. "It's ok." He told me, "Calm down." I rested my head on his shoulder 'It was just a dream .' I thought to myself again and again until I felt somewhat better. Daddy must have been reading my mind because he then said "Let's go to the main house. Come." He ran to the house, with me in his arms. Jake wasn't far behind us, in wolf form.
I must have fallen asleep on the short trip, because when I woke up it was light outside, the sun was shining in my arms. I was sitting on the couch next to Alice, every exposed part of her body glistened beautifully. She mustn't have noticed I woke up, because she was staring intently at the fireplace not a speck of emotion on her face. She was having a vision.
"Alice!.....Alice!" I said, no response. It seemed we were the only people in the main house because no one came to see what was going on. What in the world was going on?! Why wouldn't she answer me?! "Alice!" I shouted again. No response.
