Chapter 4 Part 4

I was examining the necklace Jake gave me. As far as I could tell the diamonds were real, which meant he spent way too much money on me. Jake is so sweet, I wonder how he got so sweet. I sighed and put my necklace back on. I wouldn't ever take it off, starting now; I loved it so much. I grabbed the stereo remote and turned up the light, classical, beautifully played, piano music a little bit, so I would be able to hear it in my closet. I wish I could play piano, it was beautiful. I would save up and get one. I got up from my bed and walked into my closet. I didn't need to turn it up; Alice had made them speakers that played in all the parts of my bedroom. But I just asked myself what would I wear on my birthday? Nothing too dressy, but something casual. I grabbed a pair of white shorts and a green spaghetti strap tank top with a lighter green lace cami to go under the green tank top. I also grabbed a pair of green flip flops. I slipped this outfit on and made sure you could see my necklace. I also put on an emerald anklet Alice had put in my jewelry box. I looked at myself in the mirror; this was a pretty cute outfit. I grinned to myself; Alice would love it, even though she probably already saw it. I sighed and walked out of my bedroom, where Jake was waiting for me. He looked at me from head to toe.

"You look really pretty." He told me

"Thanks." I giggled. I started to walk down the stairs, and Jake followed me. When I reached the bottom of the staircase I should have expected it, but I was still shocked. Mountains upon mountains of gifts filled most of the living room. Alice ran up and hugged me.

"Happy Birthday Nessie!" she practically sang. Everyone else said happy birthday in a normal tone, but still enthusiastically.

"Thanks." I replied in awe. This was insane. I hadn't seen so many presents in my whole life.

I froze this moment so of course, everyone except my mother was frozen. I took a deep breath and looked at her. She winked at me.

"Happy Birthday Renesmee." She said in a soft voice. She must have let her shield down because, now she was frozen in place grinning at me. I looked at everything around me, taking it all in. I was seven. I looked sixteen. I had a car. I would start high school soon. It will take me forever to open all of these presents. I unfroze the moment. Alice ran over to one of the mountains of presents and grabbed a medium shaped box.

"This one is from Emmet." She told me. I grabbed the edge of the paper and ripped it off. I ripped another piece off, and another, and another, until you could see the box. It was a pogo instant print camera. You took a picture and it printed a normal size picture right out the side, without using ink.

"Thanks Emmet." I told him.

"You're welcome Ness."

I ripped the box open until I found the camera; I loaded the film and took a picture of everyone standing around me. I put the camera back in the box and instantaneously there was another gift on my lap.

"From Jasper." Alice said while standing over me. I ripped it open, quickly this time. Inside was a pink iPod nano, one of the ones that could take video.

"Thanks Jasper." I told him. He just smiled at me.

"From Rose." She said placing another gift on my lap. I sighed and ripped the paper off the box. In the box there was iPod speakers, for my nano I assume. They were shaped like a panda. It was adorable.
