Morning Star (continuation of the twilight saga)
Chapter 4 Part 3
Jacob Black
My alarm went off...
Buzz...
Buzz...
Buzz...
I looked over at it "6:00" ugh it was so early.
I finally reached my hand over and turned it off. I got up turned the lights on and took the long red velvet box that I had hidden under my pillow; I opened it up and looked at the silver 'R' with seven diamonds decorating it. I closed the box and walked over to my desk. There was a note on it from Alice it read:
Jake,
I hid tissue paper and a bag under your bed to wrap Nessie's gift.
-Alice
I sighed and walked back over to my bed, I crouched down and reached under the bed and pulled out a hot pink bag with white tissue paper. I sat down on the ground and attempted to try and wrap it.
I figured Edward must've heard my thoughts because within seconds of my thoughts Alice was standing over me.
"Need any help?" she asked
"Uh...Yeah, thanks." I replied.
She sat down across from me and first wrapped the velvet box in tissue paper, then wrapped that in tissue paper and put it in the bag. Next she arranged the tissue paper so it was sticking out of the top of the pink bag and handed it to me.
"Thanks again."
"No problem." She skipped out of my room. I stood up, grabbed the lighter that was on the desk, and lit the pink candle I had bought for this occasion. I picked up the candle and walked out my door and across the hall so I was standing at Renesmee's door. I quietly pushed the door open and walked in. I shut the door lightly behind me. I walked over to Renesmee's bed and set the candle on her bed side table. I sat on the edge and shook her shoulder ever so gently until she awoke. She rubbed her eyes and sat up.
"Jake?"
"Happy Birthday Renesmee."
"This is so nice." I handed her the gift and she pulled the tissue paper out from the top of the bag. She stuck her hand into the bottom of the bag and pulled out the wrapped box. She pulled the tissue paper off of that and set the box on her lap. She grinned at me, before she slowly opened the box. She gasped when she saw the necklace.
"It's beautiful!"
I pointed to the seven diamonds "Seven diamonds one for each year of your life, each year you have been in my life, and finally, each year I have loved you."
She looked up at me. Her eyes had water on the bottom rim of her eye, like she was going to cry. Then a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Thank you so much Jake." She said; her voice cracking. She pulled me into hug.
"You're welcome."
I put the necklace around her neck for her.
"Go back to sleep, you're tired." I kissed her forehead, blew out the candle on the table, and left.
I decided I might as well not go back to bed; the sun would shine through the window and wake me soon anyway. I watched TV for a couple hours until I got hungry. I slowly made my way to the kitchen area of my room. I looked in the fridge and saw some microwave bacon; I pulled that out and set it on the counter. I also saw some eggs; I pulled those out. I remember when my father taught me to make scrambled eggs in the microwave; so I thought I would make them. I cracked six eggs in a bowl and popped them in the microwave. While the microwave cooked the eggs slowly, I took out some bread and put it in the toaster. The microwave beeped and I replaced the bowl of egg with a plate of bacon. I set the table for two and put another pink candle I had bought, in the center of the table and lit it. I took out six rather small glasses and set three on each side of the table. I poured orange juice, milk, and water in the separate glasses on each side of the table. I knew Renesmee wasn't a hog like I was, but it is good to have some choice. I divided the eggs so I got approximately four and Renesmee got approximately two, I knew she didn't usually eat a big breakfast. The microwave beeped again; I took out the bacon and set it on the table. I also set two pieces of toast on each plate. I looked over the table making sure everything I could make somewhat well was there. It was.
I once again quietly entered Nessie's room and woke her up. I brought her to the table I had set in my room. She looked shocked.
"What's wrong with the food? What did I cook wrong?" I asked in a worried voice
"Nothing, I just didn't know you could cook." She replied
"I can't cook anything else but this simple meal." I said sheepishly
"Well it looks delicious. What are we waiting for? Let's eat!"
"Okay."
