Jacob Black

I opened the cabinet and took out a big rainbow beach towel. I threw it over my shoulder and trotted down the stairs and out the front door. I jogged down the path towards the beach and threw my towel on the dock when I came to it. I started running down the beach in my cut-off jean shorts. I looked towards the ocean right as two dolphins' fins came up just above the water. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed my father.

"Hello, Black household." A perky woman's voice answered.

"Who's this?" I asked in a shocked tone without thinking.

"This is Amethyst. Whom may I ask is this?"

"Oh, uh, this is Jacob Black. Can I please speak to my father?"

"Billy, it's for you!" I heard her tell him, most likely from the other room. I heard his squeaky wheelchair as it rolled into the kitchen. I heard his voice muffled saying, "Thanks Amy."

"Hello?" I heard him say into the phone.

"Hey there dad."

"Oh, Jake! Where have you been? How's Fargo?"

"It's good so far, but I'm not there now. I'm on Nessie's island with everyone."

"No surprise Nessie has an island and by everyone I assume you mean all the Cullens?"

"Yep, but now it's my turn to ask questions. Who the heck is Amethyst?"

"Oh, I met her at the diner with Charlie. Let Bells know that Charlie met someone also. Her name is Addison or Addie. You should come visit us."

"I will soon, I'll bring Nessie when I do."

"Sounds great! Listen, I'll let you go Jake. See you soon!" He hung up.

"Bye." I muttered as I stuffed my phone in my pocket. I can't believe he is dating. It's weird. I thought to myself. I sighed. I almost ran all the way around the island when I realized I hadn't told anyone where I was going. Oh well. No one would notice, or so I thought. Just as I neared the dock, Nessie ran out of the back door and stopped right in front of me.

"Where have you been?!" she frantically yelled.

"I just ran around the island."

"Why didn't you tell someone?"

"I didn't think to tell anyone. I called my dad while I ran. He met someone, and so did Charlie."

"Really?"

"Yea."

"Hmmm... But you still should have told someone!"

"I'm sorry."

"Okay I guess I forgive you." She said sarcastically "I've been dying to build a sand castle, would you like to help me?"

"Sure." I grinned.

"Hold on." She took off towards the housed and came back down at an inhuman speed with two shovels, and multiple gardening tools, along with a couple sets of those plastic pails little kids use.
