The place hadn't changed much at all. It was pretty much the same. I couldn't spot anything new. I don't know why I was expecting it to change so much, though.
"Look, I love you. A break, I said. Well, I was stupid and crazy. I'm sorry, will you forgive me?" Was that it? Was that all he was going to say to me? "I felt like a stalker but I followed you around. I had to keep an eye on you, make sure the two of you were okay." The two of us. "I am sorry for the way I handled things with the baby news. I hope you know that I'd do anything for you. I love you, kitten. And I love our baby."
He was instantly in front of me, pulling me close to him and also placing a hand on my stomach. I looked up at him and saw how sorry he was. "I'm sorry too," I apologise, which made him frown.
"Why are you sorry? I was in the wrong." I was about to answer when he shook his head. "Can we go back to how we were before? Can you move back in? Will you marry me?"
That last question totally threw me.
