“What do you want for dinner?” Hunter asked, I looked at the seven diffreent lines before me. Above them were large signs lableing the choices of each line.

When I brought Casper to Hunter, they went off in the hall to discuss something. I stayed with Jade, Zoe, Missy, and the Nurse. Dasha ran off to get more bandages or something. Casper dissapeared immeadiately when she returned. This left Dasha, Hunter, and I alone for lunch. Perry apparently had a major project so he would be snacking on junk in his cabin.

“Well,” I said and started humming, “I think I-“

“I think I’m sitting with Cabin two,” Grumbled Dasha. She punched Hunter in the shoulder, flipped her hair, and marched off to a table where five girls sat.

“Wow,” Hunter nodded, “She stayed with us longer then I thought.”

            “longer?” I tilted my head.

“She has a very low tolerence for new campers and my humor.”

“Ah.” I said, looked at her retreating form.

            “So, dinner?”

“Oh, yes, I want steak and potatoes.” I smiled and went towards the line.

“Excelent choice.” Hunter nodded and stood behind me.

“Do they have New york cuts?” I asked, trying to see over the other campers before me.

“Yup,” Hunter nodded, “Rare, medium, and well done.”

            “Yum.”

“And Riley?” He asked. I turned around, looking at his smiling face as he fought back a chuckle.

            “Yes Hunter?”

“ Why do have leaves and twigs in your hair?”

“I-what?” I brought my hands to my hair and felt the dry crisp of leaves. I began to blush. After the tests, volley ball games, and almost being crushed by a tree, I must look like a complete mess. Not a hot one either.

“It’s okay,” He laughed, “It’s kinda cute, like you just came out of a battle.”

“I kind of did..” I blushed. Did he just call me cute?

“And if your that worried, I can escort you to your cabin right after dinner.”

“Thank you.” I said as I stepped up to get my lunch.

I wonder if he will leave to meet Cassidy right after that? I need to be there before them so I have time to hide in the tree.

“Hello, Riley,” Hunter laughed as I blinked back into reality, “You’re that tired, huh? Maybe you should eat that in you cabin and then sleep. I have to check on Perry soom anyway.”

I nodded. I guess he took my deep in thought face as tired. He took my tray from me and dissapered in the crowd.

I wonder if he really is going to see Perry first? Maybe that could be my chance?

“Here you go.” Hunter put a white foam box in front of me and nodded his head to the door. “Ready to go?”
