Out on a run to a small barn and convince store you saw a while back with Daryl, you both walk hand in hand.It had been months, probably closer to a full year that you'd been together. It took him awhile to open up to the idea that someone could actually love him, and when he finally did you were there. Waiting with open living arms.
"Think we'll find anything?" You ask Daryl, panting a bit as you climb over some of the trees in the woods that fell in the storm the night before.
"Don't know." He simply says.
A lot of your time out with Daryl was spent in silence, not an uncomfortable one.. But one that didn't need words to fill the space.
"Tell me a story." You say as you come across the road that leads to the store.
Daryl snorts lowly, you'd ask him every once and a while to tell you a story about him or his childhood.
"Merle used to make catching tail some bet. If he'd bring some blonde home and I didnt or I didn't really want to, he'd win."
"Like a game?" you ask and watch him nod.
"Didn't ever win much," Daryl tells you as you both walk over to the door. "wasn't like my brother."
Smiling to yourself you walk around the medium sized building. "Well I like you much better than your brother."
You say it before kissing him. Nice and slow, but conveying every bit of love you have for the man.
Pulling back you smile again, as you watch him pump his fists saying "Daryl Dixon wins!"
Laughing you place one more peck on his cheek, "He most certianly does."
A/N: he is so cute😍🙈
