You could see it on his face, as if the way he was feeling was lit up like a neon sign.
Daryl didn't feel comfortable here in Alexandria; it wasn't anything he knew or particularly wanted to know.
"You sure you don't want to come to bed?" You ask him, watching him stand watch by the window. Leaning against the doorway frame, you sigh when you see him shake his head no.
"Daryl," You whisper walking up to him. "I know this is all a whole lot of different in a small amount of time... But could you just try and adapt?"
Daryl turns to look at you, his greasy hair still hanging close to his eyes. Refusing the shower you keep pushing for.
"Or if not for me or yourself," You pause as he stares up into your eyes. Chewing anxiously on his thumbnail. "For our little girl upstairs. She loves it here and she wants her daddy to love it too."
You always knew bringing up your daughter was his weak spot, the thing that made him cave.
Nodding slowly, still unsure he agrees. "A'right, I'll try."
A/N: not sure about this one, but he's a cutie!
