Jungkook: Hitman

Rewind

2 years earlier:

"Happy birthday, Jungkook!" Kelvin shouted through the speaker.

"Ow!" Jungkook whisper-shouted. "Sorry, forgot to turn the volume down on the earpiece." Jungkook could almost see the sheepish smile coming from him and could hear Yoongi's huff, "I'll whisper." Kelvin added.

Jungkook smirked.

"Oh yeah, happy 16th birthday bestie!!" Tae nudged Jungkook as both of them hid behind a wall with Celeste.

Celeste chuckled at Taehyung's, her fiancées, foolishness, "wow, you must be the bestest pal for remembering his birthday only now!" She commented with a sarcastic tone as she laughed, "N-no! I just-" Taehyung was cut off by a shush coming from Jungkook, the said 16 year old signaled ahead and pointed to his ear. Listen.

"I can see an object coming towards you, although I don't know what it is exactly." Yoongi informed before reanalyzing the structure of the object. His eyes widened a fraction. "SHIT! RUN!"

It was too late though. Celeste and Jungkook were thrown to the right and Taehyung who was separated from them, fell to the left.

Jungkook's eyes slowly began to open as his ears rung and he shook his head a few times to help, but it didn't. He saw Celeste who was laying beside him and made his way towards her.

"Is everyone alright?" was her immediate question, no care about herself. It's a strange attribute for a hitwoman.

Jungkook was about to answer before looking up and seeing Taehyung stuck in rubble. His best friend signaled to go and added "I'm fine, finish the mission that's the goal, don't worry about me!"

"Wait, what do you mean don't wor-oh my god Tae!" She ran up to Taehyung in the rubble and tried to pull him out, but another missile came at them and exploded behind Taehyung. "Go! Finish off this bastard! I'll figure out how to get out of here. Go! COMPLETE THE MISSION!!"  Celeste kissed Taehyung passionately , which resulted in a disgust look from Jungkook, but the moment was over and both Jungkook and Celeste ran and jumped into a broken window in the building. "Look after her, Jungkook."

"I can look after myself, pabo!" A chuckle was heard and an "I love you" and "I love you too" was exchanged between the two and the mission continued.

Jungkooks POV

Footsteps. Footsteps were the first thing I heard before it happened. Celeste and I were hiding behind a desk (a/n: just minding MA own business) that was covered with scratch marks with bullets stuck in the wood which was caused by our earlier shoot out between three 'henchmen'. Then suddenly, three gunshots sounded and it all stopped, silence.

That's when I heard the footsteps. I slowly peered around the corner and two pairs of plain black shoes with some kind of smoke entered the room. I quickly turned to Celeste and mimed an urgent "we gotta go NOW!"

But like every event that comes with this job. It didn't exactly go to plan. The black shoed person grabbed my collar and I was faced with a masked man with a familiar smile as a cloth covered my mouth and filled my lungs.
