She's just like that.

Chapter 24

Niall's POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating, with Bridget wrapped in my arms. Last night was perfect; I definitely was not her first time because she knew what she was doing.

"Hello?" I answered my phone with a soft groggy voice, trying not to wake Bridget.

"Is Bridget there?" It was Harry and he sounded frantic. I forgot about last night, Bridget ran away from Taylor, but she never told me why.

"Yeah she is, she's okay. Everything okay there?" I responded

"I'm coming over... I need to leave the house anyway; Taylor is still freaking out. I think she just needs to be alone." He seemed tired and scared.

"Umm Harry I don't think that's such a good idea. She's still sleeping. Plus what happened anyway last night?" I asked him knowing Bridget wouldn't tell me.

"Taylor yelled at her last night because she didn't want you seeing her. Her philosophy is that you're too old for her but Taylor and I are five years apart, so she ran away from her. Honestly I think she just doesn't want Bridg dating someone older than me. I don't blame her. It is weird knowing that your daughter is dating someone older than your boyfriend. But wake Bridget up, I'm coming over. And don't tell me anything that happened. I don't want to know." With that Harry hung up the phone.

I pulled my arm from under Bridget and that's when she woke. She turned over and smiled at me, "Good morning beautiful." She blushed and I kissed her forehead. "Harry's coming over so we have to get changed and clean up." Panic stuck in her eyes.

"No, he'll tell Taylor where I am and I don't want to be around them right now." She quickly got out of bed. She was still naked and had a lot of hickeys on her neck, I smiled at her as she covered herself and walked into the bathroom.

I got out of bed and put my boxers on. I walked to the bathroom door and knocked "Can I come in? I have to pee and get my clothes"

"Yeah come on in," She screamed over the shower water. I walked in and grabbed my clothes and shaved then walked back out. By that time Bridget turned off the shower and walked out to get ready.

I headed down stairs to make breakfast for us when Harry walked in. "Hey mate."

He looked really stressed. "Taylor is so stressed out, she's mad at me for not looking for Bridget or standing up for her and now mad at me for leaving her to come over here. She knows Bridget is over here but she doesn't want to know what Bridget did last night so I don't think she will come over. What did you do last night?"

I was about to tell him but Bridget came down the stairs. She was wearing my sweatshirt and some of my basketball shorts.

"Sorry, I put my clothes in the washer. Hi Harry." She made eye contact with him but they both looked down immediately. "I'm going to go back to the flat; I'll come by and get my clothes later." She was definitely shyer and quieter then last night. Maybe it was because she was ashamed?

"No, you don't have to go, I made pancakes for us." I tried to give her a smile to make her feel better. But it was too late she was already putting on her shoes.

"I can't sorry." And just walked out.

"Did I do something wrong mate?" I asked Harry confused. He shook his head.

"No, she does that with everyone. She doesn't like to get attached to people. It has something to do with the fear of others leaving her just as she needs them, like her mom did. Hopefully she'll come around for you." He was quiet too. I guess he was just tired of everything that happened at home. I gave him the pancake I made for Bridget and he thanked me.

I sat next to him to start eating, "So what was she like last night. Not asking about what happened when you got home. I don't want to know details of that part." Harry was still really curious.

So I told him everything, the way she snapped at me in the car, how she danced on me. "She seemed really happy but she didn't say a single thing to me the whole night. The only thing she did to recognize me was when I asked if she really wanted to do it and she nodded. She was shut down after too." He nodded at me, knowing exactly what I meant.

"Just let her be for now. She'll be the one to come to you" Harry tried to reassure me. It didn't work, I really liked her and I don't think she had the same feelings.

Bridget does confuse me with her actions, I know Harry had warned me about her being moody, but I had not expected her to not even acknowledge me after the night we had together.

To me, it has never felt that way, well, with my hand that is. She took control, leaving me breathless and wanting more. I needed her close to me and she gave me everything I begged for.

We were united together for hours on end, showing me things I didn't even know I could do or feel.

I don't want her to run away from me, I want her to run to me and it scares me that I feel this way after one night. Especially after her walking out on me.
