Two Months Later...

Emma was completely healed from her injuries now and was helping out at the lab as much as she could. Her job at the police precinct was getting harder each day, but that didn't stop Emma. She loved it. Occasionally she would see Killian dressed as The Mind when she was catching a criminal, and it was always fun. She loved how he would fight not to look at her when he knew she would be in a certain place. But, each evening she would come back to Killian's house. Sometimes he was already there, sometimes she would have to wait. But, she never waited long for him. Other than the running out at certain times, he really was a wonderful boyfriend. She wouldn't have asked for anything less than that. She couldn't really be mad at him that he always ran out. He was saving lives and catching criminals.

"Sorry I'm home later than usual tonight, love. There was a particularly bad case tonight," he said as he walked into the house. Emma was in the kitchen on her computer, reading up on a certain case about a jewel thief.

"It's okay," she said as he came in. "I've been stuck on this case so it's not a big deal."

"What case?" He asked, coming around to read the computer screen over her shoulder. "Oh, Joesph Blaine. Aye, I've heard of him. Tell you what, tomorrow, I will go out and look for him."

"Killian-"

"No, no, no, no, no," he said quickly, shaking his finger back and forth. "Don't you do that. Don't say that I'm too busy and that this doesn't matter because it does. Everything about you matters. Everything in our lives matter. He's a jewel thief. It won't take long to find him and get him in jail."

She smiled," you're really good at that, aren't you?"

"Yes, I am." He kissed her cheek. "I'll start dinner."

"That's okay, Killian. I already ordered us pizza."

He sighed. "I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. There's just a new guy out there. And he's good. He has the power to switch a person's thoughts and emotions to be the exact opposite as they once were. I'm trying to get him off the streets, but he's good at getting away. He's good at hiding. I feel bloody awful that you are here alone."

"I'm fine, Killian," she said, putting her hand on his shoulder. "I'm used to being alone and this isn't it. You always come back to me. As long as you do that, there is no way I can be upset."

"I promise that this weekend, you and I are going to go out on a weekend vacation. We'll leave the city and go wherever you want. No crime, just us."

"It sounds perfect," Emma said, smiling at him.

Killian shut her laptop screen and bit his lip. He walked over to her and laid kisses on her neck and jawline. She moaned and let her head fall back onto his shoulder, giving him better access to her skin. "I have... Work," Emma said breathlessly.

"And I have you right in front of me. You are too tempting."

She pulled away and turned around in her seat, holding his shirt collar in her hands to keep him close to her. "I'm only wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt."

"And that makes me think you are any less beautiful?"

"Well, I don't know."

"You are irresistible either way, no matter what."

The doorbell rang, forcing them apart. Emma got up from the chair and grabbed her purse and paid for their pizza. She put the boxes on the table and opened one of them, then went back to her computer.

"As soon as I finish reading this, we can do whatever you want to do."

He raised his eyebrows. "Love, I won't-"

"I know." She turned back to him. "I wouldn't let you kiss me like that if I didn't want you, Killian. You are a good guy and I know that. If I didn't want something, I'd tell you."

He smirked and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Oh you are something else." He kissed her cheek and pulled away, then grabbed a slice of pizza and sat down next to her.

An hour later, Emma shut her laptop and went into the bedroom where Killian was. He was sitting on his phone wearing nothing but his boxers. Emma would admit that she was nervous. This would be the first time the two of them had sex before. They had shared the same bed with each other, but it never went over the limit of some cuddling, kisses, and hugs. She crawled into the bed next to him and leaned down to kiss him. He put his phone down on the side table and rolled over so he was towering over her.

"Mm, love, I missed you too," he whispered, digging his hand in her blonde curls. She let her hands slip down to his chest and played with his chest hair. "Swan, I can feel your nervousness," he said, sitting up with her.

"That obvious, huh?"

"I am The Mind, remember?"

"Oh, right," she sighed and sat up. Killian moved to sit in front of her. "It's just that, the first and only person I have ever been with was Neal."

"Oh, love, I told you, we don't have to do anything you don't want to do."

"But I do want to do it. That's the thing. It's just been a while."

He laughed and cupped her cheek, slowly bringing her closer to his lips. They kissed for a few minutes, then he pulled down the sleeve of her shirt and trailed kisses down to her shoulder. "I'll be gentle," he whispered in her ear huskily.

They stripped their clothes and laid back on the bed. Emma was panting and moaning as the passion between the two increased. He slowly pushed into her and she moaned at the contact. Their climaxes built up as the friction increased. Once they finished, Emma laid down on the bed with Killian beside her. Both adults were breathing heavily.

"Have I left the Emma Swan speechless?" Killian asked, propping up on his elbow to look at her.

"No?" She hadn't meant to put the statement in the form of a question. It just came out that way.

"It's okay, love. I tend to have that effect of women."

She rolled over and lightly smacked his chest. "Shut up."

"But mostly I have that effect on you," he whispered, rolling over to kiss her lips.

Emma blushed and settled into the blankets and put her head on his chest. "Night, Killy," she yawned.

"Night, Swan."
