As I exited my house, below me I could see a street bustling with people. Ordinarily, the streets would have been relatively empty, but with the excitement of three premature challenges, the people of the city were flowing in like knights into castles. They were in spaces barely large enough for themselves, yet they remained courteous and helped each other along, so movement was steady. My friends and I could have taken the streets, but instead, I had, when I returned from my journey, set a waypoint at the entrance to the gate of the Arena so that we could teleport there. I quickly said, "Thia na le ecthal" meaning appear at the point, sending my friends, before repeating the spell on myself, Within the time of the spell, I traveled in the realm of neither here nor there. People who have never teleported before seem to think that the realm either doesn't exist or that it is dark and/or desolate. Instead, its is actually like an opposite of that, because it is a bright realm, filled with what appear to be elves, but they have horns that are all shaped differently. The grass is a unique lavender color, that is almost gelatin in consistency, and the sky is bright orange, like a perpetual orange sunset. The studies that have been conducted show that it is a stable 72 degrees, but it has a magical property to appear as your Ideal temperature, but only to you. I thought of all of this in the 1.3-second gap that I was there, and before I knew it, I stood before the red stone steps leading up to the arena, with Saironelloletoron on my right, and Aranellevanima on my left. I looked at each of them and nodded, and we proceeded up the stairs towards the counsel.
. . .
At the top of the red stairs, there were two bidirectional doors, made of an obsidian material. I stepped forwards and pushed them open, and stopped. Inside was a long hallway, with 8 doors on each side, and one at the end. Luckily for us, we already knew where to go because we had been shown which rooms to enter when we returned from the journeys we all took. We had already told each other which doors to take, during our discussion that morning. Aranellevanima took the-the 7th door on the left, Saironelloletoron took the eighth door on the right and I took the one at the far end. Upon my entry, I was confronted with the main council room, which contained a 27-foot tall clock tower, upon which the Counselors stood surrounding the tower were 17 magic portals, that showed what was occurring in each room. Likewise, there were 17 counselors, one for each room, although they all voted on the results of each room, with an even number, so that there could be no ties. There were two counselors for each school of magic, and one for universal, who was Herulepilin. they were legally all of the equal ranks, so their actual power level didn't matter, and they all counted as one vote each. At the bottom center of the tower, was a glowing Purple portal, leading to the created pocket universe for my trials. I looked up at the Counselors, and said: "Hello, My name is Saironelloistya, and I am here to participate in my trails." The room echoed with the force of my shout, and the current speaker nodded.
"Because you are here, it is safe to assume that you will not be joining a specific school of Wizardry. Who will vouch for your training?"
"I am here for training in the Universal Wizardry, and My master will vouch for my training!"I affirmed
"Do you hereby accept the Trials as a method of determining your skill in this matter?"
"I solemnly swear to my master, myself, the gods, and this counsel, that I will strive in these trials, to test my adeptness at the Art Of Universal Wizardry. I will, upon the same vow, accept any responsibility for my actions and decisions, regardless of the outcome of these trials." I vowed, hoping that it would be accepted.
The counselors discussed their decision quietly, and then the Speaker turned to me and nodded again."We have accepted your vow, and you may proceed to the first Trail. May The Goddess of Victory Bless you, and The God of The Stars shine upon you. "
I bowed and responded"Thank you for receiving my vow, and may the Goddess of Fairness bless your decision, and may the God of Hope, ease your decision. " With that, I bowed again and walked forward into the portal.
