I returned to my planning tent, and sat next to Aranellevanima, who slept like a princess in the tales of old. Rather fitting with her name meaning Princess the Fair. The translation is strange, but I have always thought the name fit her. She maintained a air and nature worthy of royalty, yet she was fair. Her name implies beauty in translation, but I have always thought her to be fair in law and morality as well. She doesn't like to accept gifts, because she tells indebted to the giver, which has perturbed Saironellotoron and I on more than one occasion, specifically on over 8,675 occasions. She doesn't like to have an unfair advantage in games of any sort, so she often find ways of lowering her skills at activities. She follows the meaning of the law, and not the word of the law, because she believes that true justice comes from the heart and the mind, not one or the other. Aranellevanima believes that all races are equal in any situation, yet she was always willing to help other people from the disadvantages of their race. This is in part why I chose to bring her, and leave Saironellotoron behind. Saironellotoron is like a brother to me, like his name explains, but he tends to hold grudges and be hotheaded. I trust him with my life, but I do not think he would be the best leader for an offensive force, because he would let his rage consume him, and it would be hard for him to allow the other army to surrender and be merciful at the end of it all. I am the other end of the spectrum, believing in my emotional control, so I remain cool and collected in battle, and have no issue allowing the other force to surrender, yet I tend to be regimented in my negotiation. Aranellevanima is the center of the spectrum, having a composition of emotion and logic, that makes her an expert negotiator. She can be manipulative, but she chooses not to be, because she considers it dishonourable. Do not think I have any less respect for Saironellotoron, because I am writing less about him now. All of us function so well together because we are all tripoints on a spectrum for most of our traits. Here is a list of each of us in a few positions, going from least to greatest.
Humour: Saironelloistya, Aranellevanima, Saironellotoron.
Intelligence: Saironellotoron, Aranellevanima, Saironelloistya.
Bravery: Saironelloistya, Saironellotoron, Aranellevanima.
Logic: Saironellotoron, Aranellevanima, Saironelloistya.
Emotion: Saironelloistya, Aranellevanima, Saironellotoron.
Inhibition: Aranellevanima, Saironellotoron, Saironelloistya.
Power: Saironellotoron, Aranellevanima, Saironelloistya.
Wisdom: Saironellotoron, Varies, Varies.
So on and so forth it continues, making us all adept in different situations. I may be a good strategist, but at showing emotional qualities, I fail. Saironellotoron may be good at making friends, but when it comes to negotiation, he sinks like a lead coated rock. Aranellevanima is a fantastic negotiator, but she lacks inhibitors, and gets her self into bad situations based on impulse. Together however, we can move mountains. I began to regret leaving Saironellotoron at Meneltarma, but then I felt my hand, which was in Aranellevanima's right hand, being moved slightly, and then squeezed. I looked up, my thought train derailed, and stumbled over my words. She smiled, and said, "Be at ease, Mi Mellon, the darkness of death has faded, and life shines forth yet another day."I finally managed to get out, "Aranelarmellon, (princess and friend) I am ecstatic to see you have awakened, and in a good mood none the less."
"A name befitting one greater than myself." She responded, attempting to get up and groaning, her body stiff after two days bed rest. I rushed to her side, but she said, "I will be fine. How long was I unconscious for?"
I laughed at her determination, and replied, "Two days," before helping her up out of the bed, and into a standing position. "And, A name befitting only you. How do you feel?"
"Stiff," she laughed, stretching. "Where do we go next? I hope you have a plan."
I nodded, and called for the brigader generals. "My friends, last night, an injured Emmisary came from Mistaostirion. The city is under siege, and calls to us for aid. I believe this is a diversion, so I will send only half of our current force there. If Nimloth is causing a diversion, then it is likely, that she now feels confident enough to attack Meneltarma." A ripple of murmurs ran its course through the group, before coming to a stop when General Nardil called for order. I continued, "I will be taking half of this portion of the force, directly to Meneltarma. General Nardil, as he and I already discussed, will be taking the other half to Mistaostirion, to end the Seige. Divisions 1-250 will come with Aranellevanima and I, to Meneltarma, and Divisions 251-500 will be going with General Nardil. You will all have until daybreak, to rally your troops. Be safe my friends, but dare to achieve greatly." I backed down, and Aranellevanima and Nardil walked up to me, and I said: "I am really bad at giving inspirational speeches. I may have to have one of you give them for me."
