The next weeks flew by, and the date of my exile was upon us. The council members, except Nimloth and Heruellonarynen, who were imprisoned, Aranellevanima, Saironellotoron, and Herulepilin, were all waiting at the gate for me. As I walked up, they saluted me respectfully, but while the council members were doing that, I noticed that Saironellotoron and Aranellevanima, were all packed up as well, with a backpack, a bedroll, and their new staffs. I asked, "Why are you all packed up?"

"The council is allowing us to go with you!" Aranellevanima said gaily

"My friends, I am going into exile, as penance for my crimes. Do you really want to be seen walking out of the streets with a failure and a criminal?" I ventured

"Saironelloistya" Saironellotoron said," you are a fool If you believe you could stop us from going to the Menelr (Heavens) and back for you. To be seen walking with you is an honor."

I wondered out loud "How did I get such great friends as the two of you?" wrapping them in a bear hug.

Saironellotoron without missing a beat retorted "Certainly not through your dashing good looks!" We all laughed at that.

Aranellevanima looked at me curiously. "Why aren't you arguing more against our going? You always play with emotional detachment, so I expected more argument from you?"

I calculated my emotions and said "Because honestly, the hardest part of this exile would have been not being to see the two of you every day. Our friendship helped me make it through the trials, so to not be able to access that friendship would most likely kill me."

Aranellevanima looked me in eyes in a completely out of character manner and said: "We have been and always shall be, you friends."

"You are more than just my friends, you are my brother, and my sister, and I would gladly lay down my life for either of you," I stated, knowing it to be true. "If you will excuse me I will go talk to my former master?"

"Oh yeah, you're fine!" They both said at the exact same time, then they looked at each other suspiciously, I laughed.

"You two are more alike than you would care to admit." I chuckled, at which they both guffawed for a while, as I walked over to my master.

"Mae Govannen" I greeted, meaning "Well Met."

"Mae govannen, manenietye" he responded meaning "Well met, how are you?"

"pathren ar manwa. Manenietye" I replied, meaning "fearful, and ready. how are you?"

"Quilda. le lúmë utúlië efminalemar" He said, meaning "Calm. The time has come for you to emerge into the world"

"san ea ta. namárië" I whispered, as I offered my master a hug, meaning "so be it. Farewell"

With that, I turned to the council, bowed and offered a courteous "namárië," then I walked up to my friends, and wordlessly, they followed me out of the Gate.

. . .

As soon as we exited the gate, I opened up the pouch on my new blue belt, and pulled out the box with the white flowers, reminding me of its namesake, and withdrew a piece of hair and said "nipanar" meaning "small(with a connotation of weakness) fire" and watched as the portal opened up. Nimloth was looking directly at the portal as it rang through, and she smiled and said"Hello Saironelloistya, how are you?"

"Pretty good, I have my friends with me, which will be a serious help."

"Indeed, in fact without them, you would not be able to complete the crystal, as it is required to survive out there."

" How do we complete the crystal?" I asked

"You will need to gather some supplies, I'll send you a list."She ended the call, as the hair sputtered out with finality.
