Kaylas POV

After Cody, Alli, and Tom left i stayed at the beach until sunset to capture a few more photos. I couldnt stop thinking about Cody.. he was just being friendly right? Yeah, i think thats it, he can get any girl he wants so why go for me? Plus, i didnt come here for some cliche summer romance anyway. Once i reached home my dad was in  the living room watching iron chef

"Hey dad" I said, kissing his cheek

"Hey cupcake" he said "i have a surprise for you"

"Really? what is it" i said surprised

He grinned and said "Follow me"

I followed him upstairs and right across the hall from my room which was on the left side when you come uptairs, leading us to a room. he opened the door and i gasped

"Your very own dark room, cause i know you love photography" he said

I was so excited "Oh my gosh dad, thank you so much. I love it" I said giving him a hug

"Im glad you like it, well its getting late i'm going to bed now" he said

"Alright" I said

I looked at my phone, it was only 8:00. So i went to my room and unpacked everything. Since i had free time i decided to text Alli.

Me: Hey :) its Kayla what time you want me over tomorrow

Alli: Hey girlie :) uhm around 11:00, we can go shopping first then you can come back to my place for dinner, sounds good?

Me: Sounds great i'll text you when im leaving

Alli: alright cool

Me: wait.. what if your parents dont like me :(

Alli: pssh im sure they will.. my brothers like you. especially cody;)

Me: lol. what? nah he was just being friendly

Alli: wow

Me; what?

Alli: your so different, people i meet just use me to get to cody, its so annoying. Its like they dont actually want to be my friend :(

Me: aww alli dont worry, im for sure your real friend and i would never use you. Even if i liked him, i would get your blessing first :)

Alli: thats so nice to hear, thanks kayla. weeeell im tired im going to sleep to have energy for tomorrow ;D

Me: alright same i'll see ya bye

She didnt reply after so i put my phone to charge. Well now i know i cant like Cody or i'll lose Alli as a friend. Anyway its not like i'll ever like him in that way. With those final thoughts in my head.. i drifted off to sleep.
