Chapter 9

Kaylas POV

I woke up, i smiled remembering the events of last night. I looked at my phone (which finally decided to work again) i saw 3 missed calls and 2 texts. 2 from my mom, and 1 from my dad. As for the texts, well 1 was a text from my dad and the other was from cody

Messages

Cody <3: Morning babe <3

Dad: Hey honey i'm working today again, so don't wait up but i'll be home by 7 for dinner

I sighed at the text, i come to california to visit my dad and he is barely here. No wonder my mom left him. Don't get me wrong, i love my dad but sometimes his work gets in the way of his family. Anyways i got up and went to the bathroom, assuming Alli wouldn't mind since she was sleeping, i took a shower, straightened my hair and put on some concealer and lipbalm. For my outfit i put on a white bandeau and over it a black muscle tank that said "I love you to the moon and back" in white. I then put on a white skater skirt. I grabbed my phone and camera and went downstairs, i went outside and started taking a couple shots of the sunrise.

I started taking shots of the ocean when i felt someone cover my eyes. 

"Guess who" the person said

I knew it was Cody but i decided to play dumb and say "uhh Ryan Gosling"

"I'm austrailian" Cody said

"Liam Hemsworth" I said laughing

"Younger than that" Cody said laughing

"Oh Cody Simpson" I said turning around to face him

"Took you long enough" he said

"Oh my bad" I said playing innocent

Cody laughed and said "So what are you doing" 

"Taking a couple shots of the sunset" i said, then my stomach started to rumble

"Wow someone's hungry" Cody said

"Yeah, lets go see if people are up, then get something to eat" i said

I turned to go inside the house when, Cody grabbed me by the waste and spun me around to face him 

I giggled and said "Yes?"

"You forgot something" Cody said smirking

"Whats that?" i asked

"My good morning kiss" Cody said

"okay" i said leaning in, as he was leaning in i pushed him into the sand and ran inside the house

"You'r so paying for that" he said running in after me

I laughed at him because Angie was making pancakes and Brad was at the table drinkiing coffee, and they both looked at us like we were crazy. 

"Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Simpson" i said

"Morning" they said back

"Something smells really good" i said taking in the sweet aroma

"Its my moms world famous pancakes" Cody said resting his arm on my shoulder (since i'm shorter than him)

"Well i wouldn't call them world famous, but they taste pretty good" Angie said

"Can't wait to try them" I said then i turned to Cody and said "So having fun, using a human arm rest?" i joked 

"Yup, its an advantage if your girlfriend is shorter than you" he said

I laughed and said 'Your welcome"

After a while Alli came downstairs and said "Morning"

She looked at Cody and i and said "Cody stop using the poor child as an arm rest"

"Hey she doesnt mind it right?" Cody said looking at me

"i'm used to it, my friends do it all the time to me" i said

Just then Angie set down a plate of pancakes and we all sat down to eat. We chatted about our day yesterday, a little about Codys tour, soon enough we were finished. Cody and Brad had to go to the g.studio, so Alli and I were doing the dishes. As we were doing them, my phone rang. I tried to slide it to answer but it froze.

"Oh my gosh, work you stupid thing" i said

When it finally unfroze i said "Hello?"

"Hey honey, how was your sleepver?" my dad said

"Oh good, hows work?" i said

"Tiring, so when am i going to meet that boyfriend of yours?" my dad asked

"Wait, how did you know about Cody?" i asked

"Honey, i know everything i'm your dad" my dad replied

"How about tonight, he can come for dinner" i said

"Sure sounds good, gives me time to interigate.. i mean TALK to him" my dad said

"Haha very funny, well i gotta go dad" i said

"Bye honey, love you" he said and then he hung up

Alli walked over to me and said "Girl you need a new phone"

"No i dont, this is perfectly fine" I said denying it

"Are you serious, it sometimes doesnt work, its cracked and its the old model" Alli said

"Well my parents can't afford it right now so i have to make do with what i have" i said

"Whatever, you need the 4s at least" Alli said

"Yeah yah" i said

"Anyways, wanna go surfing?" Alli asked

"I've never done it before but im down to learn" I said 

"Alright" Alli said

With that we gathered all our beach stuff and headed to the pool

HEY GUYS! sorry this chapter is boring, but i really needed a filler chapter.
