Chapter 5

Kayla's POV 

The next morning I woke up, i remembered all the events that happend last night. The cuddling, the kiss, everything. I knew i made a mistake.. I just have to forget about it and act like it never happend, like i felt nothing... even though I did. Just then, I got a text from Alli

Alli: Hey girlie! You up for a pool day at my house? 

Me: Sure thing

Alli: Alright I have to go to a modelling shoot for pastry today, i'll be back around 4 ish but feel free to come and hang around the house

Me: Alright cool :) seeya then

After that i closed my phone, I then went into my bathroom then hopped into the shower. I came out then I put on my navy and white strapless bikini and over it I put on my floral skater skirt and a navy crop top. My dad was still sleeping, probably from work so i left him a note, hopped on my pennyboard and skated to Allis house. I rang the doorbell and Cody opened the door.

"Hey" I said

"Hey" he said giving me a hug

We pulled away and i said "So hows it going"

"Pretty good" he said as we walked inside

"So" i said sitting on the couch "Watcha up to today?"

"Nothing much he said, Allis at a photo shoot right now she wont be back till later" he said

"Oh i know, she said i could come by early" I said

"In that case.. wanna hang out? he said

"Sure, what do you have in mind?" I asked

He grinned "Had any breakfast yet?" he said

I shook my head

"Man this place is so sick, its right by the beach!" I exclaimed

We were at a local diner near thebeach, Cody said it was his favorite place to eat. I honestly had to agree with him, their waffles were great. As we ate he said.

"I think we should get to know eachother better" 

I laughed and said "I agree, how about we ask eachother questions?"

"Lets do it" he said

Cody: favourite colour?

Me: Blue

Cody: Mine too

Me: Nice. Favourite type of food?

Cody: Italian, you?

Me: Any to be honest. Uh.. favorite past time/sport?

Cody: Surfing. You?

Me: Badminton

Cody: Nice. favorite song?

Me: Dont have one haha

Cody: Ok fine.. favorite artist then

Me: uh.. I listen to a lot of Taylor Swift and Drake

Cody: I love Drake! I do listen to more of Jack Johnson though

Me: Yeah he's cool. Um favorite movie?

Cody: Definatley the dark knight the first one. You?

Me: A walk to remember and for action the hunger games

Cody: A walk to remember is so sappy and girly

Me: well i am a girl-y

Cody: age?

Me: don't you already know? 

He shook his head

Me: 15

Cody: I thought you were older wow. I'm 16

Me: What do you look for in a girl

Cody: Someone who's easy to talk to, adventerous, and down to earth. Like you 

I looked down and smiled

Cody: So what do you look for in a guy?

Me: Someones who's pretty chill, sweet, and pretty much not a douche. 

He laughed before we knew it we were finished eating. Cody paid despite my protest, and then he took me to venice beach. Which was so epic, we were walking on the beach when

"So.." He started to say

Codys POV

I really wanted to know where we stood. I mean, we kissed, i felt fireworks and now its like it never happend. i didnt know how to start of asked so i said

"So..."

"Yeah..?" she asked

"So the kiss yesterday... did you feel anything?"

she looked down, let looked back up at me and said "Yes fireworks, but we can't be together"

"What? Why?!" I asked a little hurt

 "Cause of.." she started to say "I have to go"

As she turned around to walk away I grabbed her arm and said "Kayla, tell me"

She sighed "Cause of Alli"

"What does she have anything to do with it?" i asked

"Cody! she's like one of my best friends. The only friend i ever met here, i cant risk losing her. She will think i just used her to get to you, i promised her i wouldn't" she said

there was a long pause then i said "We could ask her"

"She'll be mad we kept this from her, especially the kiss" she said

"I want to be with you.." I said

"Then ask her, for her permission, for me?" She asked

I was quite taken back, i mean no ones asked me that and i dont know how it would affect my relationship with my sister. So i just stood there staring at her. There was tears forming in her eyes.

"Clearly i was wrong" she said walking away

I grabbed her arm and said "But i want to be with you"

She turned around and said "Then prove it"

With that, she walked away. If she wanted me to prove it, then thats what i'm going to do.

OOH DRAMA!!!! Hey guys, sorry this chapter is a little late. Its been really hectic at school and everything, semester 1 finals are coming up. So i'm studying like crazy. Thank you to everyone reading. I know its so little people, but i appreciate every one of you. This is my first story and I know its not as good compared to others. But i'm trying. Haha XD anyways so, question of the day: Whos attending codys acoustic sessions tour? He was in my city for two days, but unfortunatly I am not able to go downtown, during exam time.
