DYLAN'S POV
As I sat down, after a long day of filming on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, I ran my fingers through my hair. I tried to give myself a moment to breathe. Although, I had an amazing time working with the cast; especially Thomas, since he was such a powerhouse to be around.
Once I said my goodbyes to the cast and the director, I made my way to my car before I climbed inside. I drove through the streets of New York as I admired the scenery at the same time. However, I realized that the light was about to turn red, so I made a complete stop. Then, I tapped on the wheel, but before I could turn, I noticed a woman trying to push a man off her.I contemplated on what I would do, because I might have gotten myself caught in some afternoon traffic. However, I didn't know what this man could have already done or would do to this woman. So, I pulled over quickly before I took a deep breath. I got out of the car, and then I made my way towards them. The closer I got to them, the more of their argument I could actually hear.
The woman yelled,"DRAKE, GET OFF OF ME! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!! YOU'RE HURTING ME!"
Drake (Not the Drake you all know, but a totally different Drake:), I'm guessing, just smirked before he then tried to kiss the woman. She looked disgusted, but she also seemed to be too scared to push him off her herself.
Because of what I had just witnessed, I pulled her away gently before I said to the man,"Hey, man, leave her alone."
Drake scrunched his nose at me, yet he rolled his eyes before he replied,"Don't tell me what to do to my woman, idiot. No one asked you to come over here and be her Prince Charming."
This time, I rolled my eyes. Drake went to hit her, but for some reason, I did something bold. I punched him square in his jaw. Drake fell back, and I took as my chance to make a run for it. Of course, I grabbed the woman's hand before I guided her to my car.
She sped off before she sighed in relief.
Then, she turned to me before she said,"Thank you, umm.."
I smiled warmly at her before I said,"Dylan. My name is Dylan. What's your name?"
She smiled back at me before she answered,"Y/S/N. Thank you so much, Dylan. I owe you. Do you take cash, or do you want me to walk the rest of the way?"
I gave her an odd look, but I held her back as I answered,"That won't be necessary. I will gladly take you home. Do you live around here?"
She nodded before she gave me her address. Then, I drove her home. When we made it to her home, I opened the door for her.
She thanked me by giving me a kiss on the cheek before she said,"I cannot tell you how much I appreciate what you did for me. I hope to see you around, Dylan. Y/N, I AM HOME!!"
I went to leave, but Y/S/N held me back, and Y/N jogged down the stairs. Y/N stopped for a second after seeing me, and at that very moment, it seemed like the world had stopped. I didn't know what to say, because it had been so long since I had last seen her. Most importantly, I had no idea Y/N had a sister. At all.
Y/N pushed aside her confusion before she hugged me.
I hugged Y/N back, and Y/S/N just smiled as she said to me,"Staying O'Brien? There's always room for more."
I was shocked Y/S/N knew my last name, but Y/N giggled before she smirked as she said to me,"Every girl knows you, Dylan. You are a teenage girl's dream guy. Plus, Y/S/N's a huge fan of your Maze Runner films."
I sent Y/S/N a grateful smile.
Y/N turned to her sister before she asked her,"Can I talk to Dylan alone, please?"
She nodded before it was just Y/N and me a few second later.
Y/N motioned for me to follow her, and I did, but she cleared her throat before she asked me,"So, how are things, Dylan?"
I laughed, but I joked with Y/N by saying,"Horrible, now that your loud mouth is back in my life again. I had just gotten used to the peace and quiet."
Y/N understood that I was joking with her, but she playfully rolled her eyes before she punched my shoulder.
When she looked away, I held my shoulder as I mouthed to myself,"She still has a killer punch on her."
Y/N led me outside, but it looked as if she wanted to tell me something.
Gently, I put my hand over her own before I asked her,"Everything all right, beautiful?"
Y/N blushed, but then she smiled at me. She remembered how that name used to cheer her up when she was upset or mad about something. Y/N had a rough time with exes over the years, and she needed me there to help her pull through those dark times.
Y/N nodded before she answered,"Yes, everything's just fine. I just wanted to say that it's good to see you again, Dylan. I was worried you had gone and fallen off the face of the Earth."
I laughed, but then I nodded before I pulled Y/N in for a hug.
Y/N hugged me back, while I said,"It's good to see you, too, Y/N. By the way: I always liked how loud you were. It's what makes you uniquely beautiful."
I sent Y/N a wink before I made my way back home. Immediately, I climbed into my soft bed. Before I went to sleep, I smiled to myself. I had finally seen Y/N after all these years, yet I had hoped that it wasn't the last time that I would see her. The question was: What was it she was going to tell me?
