Y/N'S POV
I couldn't believe the elevator decided to stop working when I needed to use it. That was even the scariest part: I was stuck on the elevator with my ex-boyfriend, who just happened to be Brendon Urie. Urie was known for Panic! At The Disco, and his amazing vocal range. I knew him even before he became famous, but I was even more worried about what topics might come up in this elevator.
I kept pressing the buttons and Brendon said,"Y/N, you're not helping anything. Stop it. Sit down. I'm sure someone will come and rescue us in a minute."
I rolled my eyes and said,"I don't want to sit down next to you, not after you left me."
Brendon replied,"Y/N, I never left you. I tried calling you several times. You never answered."
I said,"I'm sorry I didn't want to answer the phone of the guy who broke my heart into a million pieces and moved on with his life."
Brendon chuckled and said,"That's what you think happened? Y/N, please sit down. Since we're obviously going to be stuck here for a while, I might as well tell you everything. You stubborn woman.."
I slowly sat down beside him. I lost my balance and fell into his lap. He caught me, yet I couldn't move.
Brendon smiled, but he cleared his throat saying,"Y/N, you know I was planning on proposing to you. I had it all figured out and everything. I wanted you to know that I was going to do everything in my power to be there for you, but then everyone began to notice me. I became afraid that you would get dragged through the mud, if that were to happen to me, and I just panicked. I didn't see another way out other than to leave. I look back on that choice now and I understand how stupid that sounded, but I was younger then. I know you'll never forgive me for that day, and I don't blame you at all."
I slowly took his hand and replied,"I've made some pretty stupid decisions, too, Urie, so I get it. I wish you would have told me how you had been feeling. I would have been there. I would have done something. Mom was devastated when she realized we weren't seeing each other anymore. She was sure you were going to be the one that proved to me that marriage wasn't a bad thing."
Brendon gazed into my eyes and said,"I'm sorry I disappointed your mother, but we have plenty of time, Y/N. How about we start over? We start fresh?"
"I don't know what you're up to Brendon, but I'm in. Okay, I'm Y/N. Oh my gosh, Brendon, I'm such a huge fan! The death of a bachelor!"
I began to sing, and Brendon chuckled saying,"All right, all right. No singing, but it's nice to meet you, Y/N. Brendon Urie."
"How long are we going to be stuck on this elevator?"
"Y/N, progress.."
"Sorry."
