   Y/N'S POV

After Dylan left, I don't know how I managed to forget how good it was to be around him.

Immediately, my sister walked up beside me before she nudged me.

Then, she said to me,"Thinking about him? Girl, I'll admit it. He has quite the looks on him, but I also see why you fell in love with him. Did you tell him?"

  I shook my head before I answered,"No, I didn't know how. Y/S/N, how do I tell him?"

She turned to me before she told me,"I don't know, but you have to find a way to tell him. He won't hate you, and I highly doubt that it will be a bad thing if you do tell him. You worry too much, sis, but don't you have somewhere to be right now?"

I facepalmed, after not realizing what time it was.

Then, I kissed her forehead before I said to her,"Thanks, sis, I always forget stuff. I'll be back as soon as possible."

I grabbed my coat, my keys, and my purse before I hopped into my car. I was just hoping that I wouldn't get stuck in traffic. I hate traffic, but who didn't hate traffic?

   DYLAN'S POV

It was great to see Y/N again after so many years. Regardless of how good it was to see her again, I was left wondering what she really wanted to tell me. It could've been nothing, but it also could've been something.
I pushed my questions aside when I made a quick trip inside of the grocery store. I needed a quick snack, and I figured the grocery store was the best place to go. When I made my way down the snack aisle, I spotted a familiar figure talking on the phone. She was leaning on the grocery cart, too.

I waved to her, and she smiled before I offered her a hand. However, she just pulled me in for a hug instead. So, I hugged her back.

When I pulled away from the hug, I said to her,"We've got to stop running into each other. How are you, Y/N?"

Y/N smiled before she said to me,"I'm great, Tho-I mean, Dylan. I'm so sorry. I was watching Maze Runner last night, and I couldn't help it."

I laughed, but I smirked as I replied,"It's all right, Y/N. I don't mind you calling me Thomas, either. Actually, I've gotten pretty used to it."

I opened my mouth to say something else, but I heard a young girl yelling,"MOMMY, IS THIS IT?!"

   Y/N'S POV

When I was in the store, my daughter, Alicia, pulled on my pants leg before she asked me,"Mommy, can I go get some cereal?"

I nodded, and then I crouched down to her level before I answered,"Yeah, but only cereal, okay? Be quick like Flash."

Alicia giggled. I sent her a wink before she ran over to the next aisle. Of course, I watched her to make sure she got the cereal. Then, I realized I had left my buggy a little too far out of my reach.
I quickly jogged to get it before I checked on Alicia again. This little cutie was still deciding what cereal she wanted. I just smiled as I leaned on the buggy before my mother called me to check on me. Immediately, I told her we were fine and that I would visit her soon.

Halfway into my conversation, a familiar pair of eyes met my own. Immediately, I recognized Dylan standing a few inches away from me. He waved at me before he offered for me to shake his hand. So, I rolled my eyes playfully. Of course, I pulled him in for a hug, too.
Dylan hugged me back before he asked me how I was. I said the usual, but I made the stupid mistake of calling him Thomas. I needed to stop watching so much Maze Runner. I may have an issue.

Dylan opened his mouth to ask me something, but then I heard Alicia calling me. I tried to keep my panic at a minimum.

  Alicia yelled,"MOMMY, IS THIS IT?!"

Alicia ended up running into Dylan. She almost fell on her butt, but Dylan caught her.

Then, he held her face as he asked her,"You all right, sweetheart?"

Alicia nodded, but her face lit up after seeing Dylan.

Dylan smiled before he asked her,"What's your name? I'm Dylan."

Alicia held on to my leg as she said shyly to Dylan,"Alicia. I like your movies."

Dylan put his hand over his heart before he replied,"I appreciate that, Alicia, and you have a beautiful name. You know your mommy and I have known each other for a long time. That necklace on her neck, I gave it to her."

Something flashed in Alicia's eyes, and she asked him,"How long were you and mommy together?"

I blushed at the memory, and Dylan answered,"The last time we were together was about 8 years ago."

Dylan seemed to be thinking about something before he asked Alicia,"How old are you?"

Immediately, Alicia looked up at me as if to answer his question or not. I sighed before I motioned to her that it was okay.

  Alicia replied,"8."

Dylan looked between Alicia and me before he said,"I better get home. It was nice meeting you, Alicia."

  I frowned before I yelled,"DYLAN, WAIT?!!"

It was already too late; Just like that, I was starting to have doubts about my past decisions.

Tears formed in my eyes, and Alicia frowned before she asked me,"Mommy, what's wrong? Did I do something bad?"

I shook my head, and then I answered,"No, Alicia, let's go home. It's past your bedtime."

After about an hour, Alicia and I made it back home. Immediately, I put her to bed. Afterwards, I walked into my bedroom before I reflected on how stupid I was for not telling Dylan years ago. I would have, but I was afraid that he would be angry with me. I was afraid that he wanted nothing to do with Alicia.
Dylan was getting deeper in his career, and it meant so much to him. I thought having a kid would be too much for him. After seeing his reaction in the store, I may have just messed up the opportunity for Alicia to actually have her father in her life. It was all because I didn't tell him sooner.

Tears poured down my face. Y/S/N saw me before she rushed to my side.

She wiped my tears before she said,"Sis, what happened? C'mon."

She led me up to her room before I told her,"He knows, and I'm worried that he's mad at me. So mad that he won't come back at all. Alicia looked so happy to see him, but I'm afraid that because of the decision I made, she won't see her father again."

Y/S/N wrapped her arms around me as she said in a comforting tone,"Y/N, Dylan would not just leave you to handle all of this on your own. Sure, he may be mad. He may even feel a bit betrayed, but Dylan obviously cares about you. He wants to be a part of your life again. Y/N, you should've seen the look on his face when he saw you again. Sure, you two have been apart for a long time, but he'll be here if you ever need anything. Trust me."

I nodded before the doorbell went off. Instantly, I walked down the steps to get the door. However, I wiped my tears before I opened the door to see Dylan standing there. I opened my mouth to apologize to him millions of times. I would even tell him to go ahead and yell at me, but he did something shocking next. He kissed me.

Dylan pulled me closer, and it took me a while to respond. This was mainly because I was in shock. Despite that, Dylan held on for a long time.

When he pulled away from the kiss, he cupped my face before he told me,"I'm sorry for storming out on you, but it was just a lot to take in. Even though I was upset, I want to be a part of her life, Y/N. Becoming a father will be a big step, but I'm willing to do this for the two of you. Also, I never stopped loving you either."

I smiled before I let out a big sigh in relief. Then, Dylan smiled before he pulled me in for a hug. I hugged him back, but I was glad Dylan decided that he wanted to be here for Alicia. I knew that it would mean the world to her.
