((THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! 100 reads!!! I’m So Happy! Please Keep Sharing This With Others. This Chapter Was Hard As All Get Out So Please Mind The Grammar Errors. I Tried To Detail It The Best I Could So I Hope You Understand What Is Taking Place Here.))

((Just so you all know I will be re-writing this chapter because it was horrible and needs more detail to it, it also lacks anything good so this will be redone soon (don't worry it will still be the same story it just needs more detail and the pace is to fast. For now enjoy this horrible chapter))

Chapter Seven.

Black-Tie Murder Party.

I told Clary and Damon what had happened last night and; after a few minutes of fighting, agreed I could go investigating with them today.

Damon was going to spy on the leaders while Clary and I checked out the forbidden woods.

Clary was nervous and scared, but she was determined to find Jeff and the others.

“I swear to you Lightning, I’m going to kill that demon boy for what he did to you.” Her voice faltered, but only once.

“No need to Clary. Just stay by me and don’t get hurt.” I was firm with her, but kind enough to sound caring.

Ok, Jeff. Time for round two. And this time. I’m going to win.

Clary and I started our hike up the hill.

Before leaving I had collected a bow, a few throwing knifes and a staff; which I gave to Clary for protection. All of which we found was located in the back of our closet.

Clearly something is going on here.

I adjusted my quiver and bow a crossed my back for easy access in case of an emergency.

The whole time Clary was talking like she could kill someone in seconds, but I knew better. She couldn’t hurt a fly to save her life. She may say she will protect me if things go wrong, but I know better than to trust her on that; or anyone for that matter.

Soon enough I told her to quiet down, as we were approaching a tall electric fence that buzzed loudly.

The fence itself was rusted and old, but even a fool could tell one touch would kill you instantly.

“Hey, Lightning look at this. There is an opening in the gate here.” She started trailing towards it before I stopped her.

“Wait! Let me go first.” I pulled my bow off my back and nocked an arrow, placing another in my mouth.

I stepped beside her and found a very small opening.

“Clary, if you touch this fence it will kill you instantly. This is too small for even a little kid. Let’s find a bigger one.” She nodded and we strode along the fence.

I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed. I was hoping to get this over with as soon as possible.

After a few hours, Clary gave up.

“Ok I’m done I can’t stand this. My legs are exhausted and you don’t look to good either. Let’s just go home.” I nodded and started turning around, but a horrible stench wrapped around my nose choking me.

“Yuck, what is that smell?” She said holding her nose.

I knew that smell. It was the same smell my dad came home drenched in almost every day...

The smell was death; death and blood.

“Wait, Clary, you smell that?”

She nodded her head and inhaled deeply through her nose.
