Trico took his head back and stared at the boy. The majestic animal turned its head to it's right. Runako followed where the creature had tilted it's head. The beast followed the boy with no hesitation. He was still amazed how he had befriended the creature who normally took people to eat them. Trico leaped over the boy as he spotted another barrel. That beast was very hungry then. It looked as if the animal could reach it with its mouth. But no. It had to claw at it and pocked it inside of an arched hole. Which was very strange that it let out steam like gas. "Don't worry buddy!", the boy reassured Trico. He climbed on it once again and jumped off it's head. He saw something strange about his blue colored horns. One horn was broken while the other was sharp as a knife. "Wonder what happened to you!", Runako said picking up the barrel from the arched hole. "And here you go". The boy held it in his arms. The beast edged closer. It aimed correctly and lunged taking the barrel out his hands. When the boy tried to jump down the creature shoved him softly with his muzzle. "What is it boy?", Runako asked as he began to be crammed into the small opening. He crouched and walked in. It was very dark and cold.
He jumped over a large boulder that was laid on the ground. He saw a white-blue light illuminating the dark room. As he squeezed through the crack his bare feet felt as though they were on snow. He looked down and saw that the ground was made of solid cold ice. He shivered but walked along as he spotted a large round cup like thing. It looked as though a large cup was swallowed down and only the top where you could sip from was popping out. He called out for Trico, because of wanting his presence and maybe even protection. "Trico please come", he whispered. He rubbed his arm in a way of getting warmth but right when it was warm it would become cold again. He let out a pathetic cough as he saw the heat of his mouth evaporate into steam like cloud. Runako peered over. He spotted a particular looking room. He bounded over towards it and there laid a type of tomb. He jumped on it and saw a mirror on it. It had strange markings like his arms. He pulled on it as it popped off with ease. He aimed it at the wall and noticed that it a blue light flashed from it each time he pressed onto a button. It was made out of a substance he had never seen before with its mystic light it made Runako think hard about what it was used for. It looked very important so he borrowed it.
Runako began to make his way out. He looked at Trico. He leaped to his feet. "Oh buddy! You were sleeping. You're still tired? How cute!", Runako teased. Trico looked and sniffed the boy. Runako held out the mirror. "Is this what you're looking for?". The mirror flashed its vibrant blue symbols.
Trico lunged his head back, pressing his ears to the side, and his eyes flashing colors. Trico felt the memories rush through him. The Samurais pressing spears against his sides and them teaching him if he obeyed the command he would be able to not get stabbed.
Runako stared at the beast blankly. "Okay. Let me just play around with this strange gadget while you calm down", the boy said. He pressed on the button and aimed to towards a wall. If only they could get out of this place. Trico turned his head and looked where the boy aimed the light. His tail was curled over his head. Immediately he shot out purple-pink lightning from behind him. Runako was amazed. The lightning that flew from the creature's tail took him greatly by surprise. "Could the mirror assemble that much power?", Runako spoke out loud. He was still looking for a way out of this strange place. He raced back to where he and Trico had first met up. He then remembered that there was an crack in the cave where a whole lot of timber and boxes where piled up against it.
"Trico come over here and help me!".
The huge beast came toppling over with clumsy steps.
"Aim".
The beast did so.
"Fire!".The lightning came flying out , that made the wood and other stuff come falling down like a pile of leaves. Even Runako knew that he could harness such great power with Trico's destructive lightning. A torch was against the wall that had collapsed. The boy headed in with the beast traveling right behind him. Runako got over some fallen debris as began to trail down some more. There was a path after all. It looked as though it may had been a stair way. The adventuress boy walked in the darkness of the cave. He heard the footfalls of the man-eating beast behind him. Although Runako had heard terrible tales of this creature from the elder he had felt no fear what so ever. There must have been a way out. The ground was moist and even moss had been beginning to grow on the stone. He ventured forth. A pile of ancient looking pots where in his path. If Runako fell down that ravine he would be dead. But he yet swerved around them only letting three fall down. Trico was not far behind.
He raced behind the boy and padded around them. With his hind legs he kicked the rest towards the never-ending ravine. A faint light was glowing in the distance. Runako took a right turn as he raced away with out even looking he couldn't feel the ground. Then he felt water. He swam up reaching for air. He gasped deeply catching his breath. He looked around. A cascade was falling in front of his face and saw that ruins where drowned in the aqua colored water. He swam towards some stairs. He climbed up and climbed up a chain. He noticed that Trico was peaking his head out of the entrance of the cave. He wasn't wanting to get into the water.
"Huh, scared of water you little kitten. Maybe if I find some barrels you'll get down here".
Butterflies fluttered over a crate. It must be barrels. Runako held on to it and threw down to break it. It cracked open. Triumph flowed over him as he carried a barrel to where Trico could spot him. The beast looked at the barrel with his eyes glowing white. "Now you'll-", Runako began as he threw the barrel into the water. Trico's mouth gaped open as though he was gasping in disbelief. "-get the barrel".
Trico eagerly leaped in. Large ripples threw Runako off balance. Trico held onto his barrel as he stared at the boy with a amused emotion. "Oh come on!", Runako cried as the beast shook it's feathers and sprayed it on the boy on purpose.
That'll teach you to not get my food wet! Trico seemed to say.
