"Follow me over here. We will get there once I've figured this out Trico", Runako hollered over his shoulder as he found another building. Trico followed and looked up at it. It was much taller than him like most of the other architecture in this maze of pillars, balconies, and stairs. Trees had been growing on top of the building. Trico sat on his haunches ready to mount onto the top of the large building. Before he could take off the boy latched on just in time because the animal was already at the top. "Oh great God we are so high up Trico.", Runako wailed. "I think I found my new fear".

Trico turned with a questionable look on his soft feather-down face.

"Heights!".

Trico looked back at the stone floor and jumped down. Runako let go and rooted his feet on the ground. He shivered in fear. He whipped his head around in order to get rid of his black colored hair out of his face. He then took notice in Trico. He was curling himself in like a ball and staring at something at the ground. It was in a frame made out of metal and a colorful eye in it. His eyes glowed a dawn color as he pressed his pointed ears to the back of his head. "Okay let me get this straight. I'm scared of heights. Your not. But you're scared of a colorful eye? The heck!".

But Trico let out a little scared squeak as he kept a unbroken gaze with the colorful eye. "Fine let me get rid of that for you". Runako wrapped his  hands and fingers around the rim of the eye and pushed it off the ledge. Trico's eyes quit glowing and turned back to his normal black beady eyes. Taking a closer look at his face he noticed black lines coming out of his eyes, like black tears covering over his muzzle and giving it that color. It was strange but that was Trico after all right? That was all that mattered.

The boy crawled up the stairs and explored the place until he found the 'outside' world again. He stood on the balcony which for once had railing. He raced back in back where the enclosed area was. He wanted to get through the wired cage thing but he had to find a way to do that. "Wait! The barrel maybe if I place it near the door he may just break it and we could get through", Runako thought out loud. Trico stood there confused and waited for his treat. The boy returned with the animal's reward and placed it in front of the cage.

But all Trico did was eat it. Runako felt stupidity fall over him like a topping pillar. That was when he saw the light flowing into the room, and that arched hole could let the small boy get to the other end of the building. He went through and all he was standing on was a jutting rock. He took a jump and held onto the ledge that was in front of him. He pulled all his weight towards the other ledge until he got to another arched hole. He got through with ease and pulled down on the lever that would for sure let Trico in. It opened the gate and again there was barrel for Trico. Runako let the beast enjoy its feast and turned to another entrance where it ended with a pathetic almost broken door. Runako took out his mirror and flashed it. Trico curled his tail over his head and let the lightning escape his tail. It shot out and broke the door.

He went in and saw a almost closed like cage- the roof of it looking like a dome- with glowing blue light from it. The boy jumped in. He heard Trico let out a whimper of fear. He was scared of something but Runako didn't know what it was. There was a bridge leading to another room but he didn't want to go yet. Trico was just eyeing the plat form under him. His eyes glowed white like when he saw food. But for sure he wasn't going to devour the ground, right?

"Trico? What's wrong?", the boy asked with concern edging his voice. There was a rusted enclosed door rimed with a blue glow and next to it was a floating blue glowing triangle-diamond shaped figure. "Just get down Trico! Don't be scared come on!", Runako begged the beast.

With hesitation Trico stepped down. A ear piercing beeping noise came from the caged figure. Trico turned his back away from it and glared at it with menace. His blue horns began to glow each time the figure beeped. His horns seemed to have a signal/interaction with the figure. He let out roars of protest as his eyes flashed different colors. "Trico clam yourself! Control yourself!", the boy screamed in fear. Runako raced towards the bridge the beast was becoming a beast once again. It must be putting Trico under it's control. Trico glared at the boy as he arched his back and jumped at the same time. The boy knew that it was Trico. Trico was a kind loving creature but he had to forget that now that his eyes were glowing with anger. Runako raced towards the other gate looking for a lever. But he couldn't find one.

He wanted to scream for help but there was no one around. He got back on the bridge and tried to get onto Trico to pet him so that he could soothe the creature back to the kind fur-ball he was. When he got his grip it loosened and he almost plummeted down the ravine and to his death. He raced back to where the strange figure was and tried to turn it off. He couldn't do anything! Trico had Runako now cornered. "Trico! Stop!", the boy yelled in fear. No. He had to stay firm and sound confident.  "Trico! Stop!", Runako repeated as he rehearsed earlier in his mind. But the man-eating beast ignored the call of his name and lunged at the boy. He gripped the ''scruff'' of the cloak and swallowed the boy down.
