Slowly Runako began to scoot down the fallen stone pillar. He looked down and saw the endless drop to death. He looked back up and kept his gaze focused on the building. What seemed like an eternity ended quickly as Runako got on the plat form. He looked back at Trico who was slowly edging onto the pillar. He walked gracefully and swiftly on the pillar even though death was beneath his talons. After finishing going on the pillar he leaped off and began to strut. "Oh, shut up!", Runako said playfully. He looked to his side. Spotting some stairs he climbed up them with no effort. When he got to the top he noticed arched windows that instead of having glass planks they were copper wires. It seemed that he wasn't aloud to go there but since he was a rebel. Why not? There were more windows though. Two of them were already broken. The boy walked through and headed down the stairs. He was in. Runako noticed there were beautify decorated smaller pillars compared to the pillar he had trekked over with Trico. Thinking about Trico made him turn around. The beast was trying to fit through one of the broken windows.

"You'll get in eventually. Don't worry Trico. Trust me."

Even after saying that the creature went to another broken window to see if it fit there. Nope! Of course not. Runako chuckled but Trico only spat in fury of not being able to fit. "Wait there bud".

Trico stared at the boy looking at him like "I won't able to be going anywhere. Genius go just hurry already!". Runako left the premises and headed up four flights of stairs. He noticed when he got up there was a big gaping hole in the wall leading down to the bloody death of well....death. Runako called to Trico but it didn't seem that the animal could find a way to get around. Blue butterflies floated around him. They were going down the stairs. Not literally though. He saw the barrel covered over with debris. "I'll get that for Trico later".

An idea sparked in like an ember and blazed into a wildfire. Runako though of something. He though back about the pillar. If he led Trico back to the balcony where the pillar had fallen when they crossed over it, he could lead him there then call him to sit where the used-to-be-jaw-bridge was. It was a brilliant a idea! He went back down the stairs and raced to the windows. "Follow me Trico".

He then proceeded to lead the creature to the balcony in which it stayed there. "Now stay Trico."

The boy headed back to where he came up with the idea and called to Trico. It came to where the jaw bridge use to be and looked up through the broken roof. "Trico, get up here!".

Trico walked up the pillar and took an enormous jump and got to the boy. But Runako again was kicked by the beast's clumsy claws. Runako led his 'pet' to where the barrel was. The beast dug through the debris and ate the fluid inside the barrel and spat out the wood. The boy then got onto the back of the animal and held on as it took him to where the pillars were. "Hey you listened Trico", Runako said stroking the creature's head. He began to let out soft purrs. He kneeled to the ground then flopped down. "You like that buddy". Everyone -even the most evil- had a soft side to them just you have to find it, thought Runako. Trico then shook the boy off gently in a way to not hurt him. He got off and saw the beast get back on all fours. "Let's finish this journey Trico. Come on. Sit down please".

The beast's rear end planted on the ground Runako climbed up it's feathers and onto the peak of it's head. He bounced onto a jutting piece of stone that pocked out of the wall and balanced on it. He saw a ledge above him and got a grip of that. He noticed a chain hanging from the ceiling and climbed up it. That only lead him higher above ground. Then saw a entrance. He looked down and saw Trico. All he had done was go around. Good new for Trico though. There was a barrel for him. Like always. Trico glanced up, spotted the boy, and sprung upward. Runako led Trico deeper into that entrance and that led them to another clearing. Grass was growing there and a pool of water was in the center of it. To his left was a mine and in front of Runako's eyes was a wooden door that only Trico could break.

The boy aimed the mirror and Trico did his part of the bargain which was to DESTROY the door. He went down the mine and looked through it. Trico tried to follow but could not squeeze through. He waited patiently outside. Then his master popped out. "Not quite a mine. But I found a barrel", Runako exclaimed gleefully. Trico enjoyed the barrel and saw his master was gone. He followed his sent train and saw that he had crawled through a tunnel in a rock that led outside. He looked at the boy then leaped up to were a perch was laid and ascended off of it and next to Runako.

Runako looked around the place. Yellow leaves that grew on the trees made him remember of home. Of Nuruko. Akira, Mariko, General Sahan. Everyone even the Miller and Baker. He was here now though and had to complete this quest. Trico went ahead of Runako as he looked up at another tower and growled at it.

"You want to go up there?".

Trico nodded.

"Okay then we will".
