Hostility fired up once the seemingly calm cursed Samurai awoke. Runako scurried about and ran towards the locked door. He needed to get closer, but couldn't reach in time. A sturdy grasp held onto his shoulders. Trico was on the other side of the door. His eyes brightened up with fury. An ear-piercing shriek from the beast erupted into the air. Runako's ears went blank for a second. That noise you always hear when it's too silent arose. A loud clang! came from the metal door. Trico butted his head stubbornly. Hope flared in the boy's heart as he cried for the beast.
"Trico!"Before they knew it the impact of Trico's head made the bridge-tunnel-thing shake. Runako fell to the floor as the Samurai let him go. The roof began to collapse down. "Oh, no..", the boy whispered.
His instincts kicked in as he left the beast. He selfishly ran in order to save himself. The Samurai was left in the dust, probably falling into the endless abyss. The cold stone hit his feet with every step. The noise of the collapsing structure rang in the silent air. Fear was creeping forward. The fear of dying. Runako kept running. Jumping over gaps and everything. The boy kept track of the ground, staring at it. Then out of nowhere, the floor was collapsing under his own weight. Runako took a leap, hoping he'd make it to the other side. A shadow cast over him. Not that shadow you'd expect to be bad, to be related to evil, but that shadow that you know.
Trico dove in and swept up the boy in his beak-like mouth. The beast jumped on the remaining part of the tunnel-bridge, and propelled himself upward and onto another ledge. Runako was thankful. The beast gingerly placed the boy down. A grin of gratitude curled around the boy's lips. Runako walked forward and placed himself close to the beat. His arms wrapped around the beast's chest. Runako placed his forehead on the bird-like animal's chest.
"Thanks, Trico"Although people in the village would say animals were heartless, Runako knew better. Trico curved his head down and pressed his muzzle against the boy gently. A heartbeat passed before Trico controlled over the situation. They were on a ledge connected to a mountain, it would be better to be on firm ground. Runako didn't even need to do anything. Sense was finally seeping into the creature.
With no caution, Runako mindlessly ran into an unknown/unexplored area. He stepped in and looked in awe. Exactly twenty-one sky-lights fell into the dim area. It looked like a deadly battle arena. Runako was still confused where he even was. He wondered what type of place this even was. When Trico stepped in, Runako noticed something else. In the corner of his eye, he saw more of them. Now, this was getting old. His body was sore and already had visible bruises. The echo-y noise of the awakening Samurai's made Runako react.
Trico's growls grew into roars. His feathers ruffled up making him look twice as big and flared his nostrils. Two of them were hidden near the entrance. Those two were the ones attacking Trico. Thankfully, unlike the other two near the end of the wall were armed. One held the shield with an eye on it, while the one behind it held a spear.
Runako boldly went for the ones behind Trico. They worked together back to back. The boy rammed into the one holding the shield. The Samurai fell back. The next one arrived, holding his spear out menacingly. The deadly point aimed at Runako's chest. Just barely, he dodged it. Adrelanine rushed to uncontrollable levels. Runako's ears picked up the defeat of the other two Samurais. Trico protectively turned over to help the boy. A battle cry erupted from Trico's mouth. He launched himself at the Samurais. He took out a foot and swung. His powerful blow struck the Samurai with the spear. It sat there with its weapon on the floor. Runako swiftly kicked it out of the way and let Trico finish the job. The beast took two small hops before stepping on the cursed armor. It was turned into just spare parts!
Runako charged at the final Samurai. Its shield dropped. Trico fluffed his feathers, arched his back, and slightly flapped his wings. His power was unattainable. He attacked the final enemy with ease as he let out a triumphant roar.
