Waking up was hard as usual, but reality hit him as a bucket of iced water.

Albus stood up shocked and in a hurry. He fell into that time and had slept for the most of hours. And still he didn't have a plan.
In the meanwhile she could have died and he didn't do anything. She. Damn it, he didn't know anything about her except for her link to Tom Riddle.

He found some clothes, that weren't there when he fell asleep, and a tray with some food that would have been his breakfast.
A black jumper was enough to cover his school distinctive clothes. He didn't want to leave his anonymous cloak, so he put it on that as well.

The door of Dumbledore's office was open and the teacher came out to meet him as soon as Albus looked inside.

After the greetings the teacher explained "Today is a free day for everyone. You're lucky. As you may know it's Valentine's Day and for some reasons the headmaster decided that lessons are suspended. There are also the trainings for this weekend's quidditch match, if you're interested. And those who are allowed can pay a visit to the near village of Hogsmeade. I guess you don't want to spend this lovely day with me, so feel free to go wherever you want, just don't get in trouble".

Albus was impatient "I'll be careful, I promise. I'll just talk to some students".

The young Potter missed breakfast in the great hall, another chance to find Susan Black wasted.

So he found himself just wondering in the corridors, which were quite crowded and some other people were also cloaked.

He felt quite sad seeing that most of them were Gryffindors. Albus Potter was near their tower, after all, and Dumbledore was their Head of House. And that was also the house of his father, his brother, most of his family, the one Albus wanted to be in.

He opted to go to the familiar dungeons, when his eyes caught something bizarre.

He just walked pass one blonde girl, when he saw the same face again in front of him.

He stopped and turned back and the mystery was solved. The girls were the same and noticed his staring, so they stopped and talked to him.

"Hey, you new?".
"Yeah, a visitor" he replied shyly.
They shook his hand with big smiles.

"I'm Beth and she's Bell" said one.
"You can't distinguish between us, can you?" Said the other one.
"You're twins! So cool" he couldn't stop shifting his gaze from one to another.
"And you are?".
"Foster.. Albert Foster" he lied.

He didn't even have time for making new friends.
"Cute Al. Do you like here?".
"Very much. Hmm, girls, can I ask you something?".
"Sure, shoot".

He lowered his voice "Do you know any Susan Black here?".

"You kidding? Everybody knows her. She's our Head Girl after all, coupled with Riddle".

"Slytherins' glorious years just thanks to the two of them" Bell or Beth dryly commented.

"Can you show her to me?".

The two gave him a warning look "Careful, friend. She's not for you. Better stay away from her".

"Sure" he uneasily laughed "I'm just curious to see who she is".

The two looked at each other, then agreed "Very well, then. I guess she's leading the students to Hogsmeade now".

They walked down the stairs together.

"I ask if someone saw her" one of them ran forward to investigate.

"So how long are you staying here, Al?" Asked the one who remained.

"For a short time. Just a fast visit".

She let out a sad sigh "Aww pity. You're interesting. Did you come for Valentine's Day?".

"Oh no. Definitely no. Just a coincidence" his embarrassment cooled down when he saw the other twin running back.

"She's near the Entrance Hall, as I supposed. Quick! They're almost leaving for Hogsmeade".

They hurried and hid in minor corridors, like they were about to start an assault.

One of the girls spied over the corner and whispered embarrassed.

"Ehm, what can I say? Bad timing".

Albus looked then. The only couple in the corridor was too busy to care about him.

He recognized Riddle, handsome young wizard, who was locking a necklace around the girl's neck. The girl was slim, with elegant dark hair and a lovely face.

It was a private moment, but Albus couldn't help but staring at them. Even when the girl turned to kiss the boy on the lips.

Someone pulled at Albus's sleeve "Enough! You have no chances, fella. Can't you see? They are THE couple. There's no place for you".

Albus looked at the girls confused "I'm not interested in her. I just.. need to talk to her".

"Why?" They dragged him away from there.

"I have to warn her about something. Private stuff".

The girls surrendered "Okay, young Cupid. Go on your way".

He thanked them and watched them walking away, then focused back on his target.

Hogsmeade. Students allowed to go there needed to show a permission paper.

He could ask Dumbledore. No, he needed to be careful. The longer he stayed there, the bigger damages he was making.

He looked from far the couple who was walking to the Entrance Hall to check the students gathered there.

Albus needed to talk to Susan in private, but Riddle seemed to be always next to her.

He had to follow her. He had to go to Hogsmeade.
