When you get older, plainer, saner
Will you remember all the danger
We came from?
Burning like embers, falling, tender
Longing for the days of no surrender
Years ago
And will you know

So smoke 'em if you got 'em
'Cause it's going down
All I ever wanted was you
I'll never get to heaven
'Cause I don't know how
...
Wishin' I could see the machinations
Understand the toil of expectations
In your mind
Hold me like you never lost your patience
Tell me that you love me more than hate me
All the time
And you're still mine

Wishin' I could see the machinationsUnderstand the toil of expectationsIn your mindHold me like you never lost your patienceTell me that you love me more than hate meAll the timeAnd you're still mine

"If it was difficult to find evidence about the boy Riddle, it has been almost impossible to find anyone  prepared to reminisce about the man Voldemort. In fact, I doubt whether there is a soul alive, apart from himself, who could give us a full account of his life since he left Hogwarts."

The afternoon was turning into evening and the White Wyvern was getting crowded with new kind of customers.
Susan wasn't getting used yet to the idea she wasn't going back to Hogwarts. The First of September already passed. She saw nostalgically students gathering in Diagon Alley and then they were all gone far away.
In Knockturn Alley wandered some interesting people and Susan liked to listen to the travelers' tales while she was serving them. Serving, a job nobody would have said it suited her. But she had her reasons.
The door opened making the small bell on the top of it ring.
Susan couldn't help but smile.
All the witches of all ages that were in the pub turned to eye him with lust, but he didn't care to cross their stare nor he showed he was annoyed.
He just sat at an empty table in the darkest corner, far from every other customers.
Susan noticed that Isobel, her naive coworker, was trying to sneak towards him so she pinched her arms and walked passed her.
"Good evening, sir. The usual?".
Tom raised his dark eyes to her and smiled "Yes, please".
Susan waved her wand smoothly to prepare his drink. She wished she could sit with him and ask him about his day working for the near Burke's shop, but her gruff old superior would have menaced her of dismissing her.
So when she was finished with him, she had to deal with the other customers, craving for her free time.

The pub closed for an hour for dinner and Susan was glad she didn't have to come back for the next round at night.
When her superior allowed her to go home, the girl laced her cloak and stepped out in the road, finding Tom still waiting for her.
"I don't like that dress" he said scanning her and offering her an arm.
She snickered noticing his eyes lingering on her plunging neckline "The master wants it this way".
"Master?" He repeated crossing her amused eyes.
She rolled them tightening the grisp at his arm "Yeah but who cares? You are my master. My only lord. And don't be jealous. You know I always keep the best for you".
He smiled with satisfaction and kissed her forehead "Ready?".
She nodded and closed her eyes, to find herself at home.
Tom tried to complain that he didn't want to abuse of her hospitality, after he felt uncomfortable when some of her relatives came to visit them and eyed him with slight disapproval. But Susan persuaded him that she wanted to live with him careless of others' opinions and since she inherited a house it was right that they used that together. And anyway they were planning to travel a lot and the whole world would have been their home.
They started their jobs in Knockturn Alley few weeks earlier to earn something more and specially to get informations, while most of their followers accepted offers from the Ministry.
"Today I talked to two turists from Egypt" she shared waving tiredly her wand to ready their dinner "They knew pretty interesting stuff from Ancient Egyptians' Dark Arts. We should be staying more time there".
They already wrote down a schedule for their travels and they were always updating it. She was looking forward to it, to see the world with him, after watching their followers taking the positions into the society and building up their own families.
"I want to go to Albania first. A fast trip. Then we'll go wherever you want".
She smiled back to him "And don't forget that tomorrow I'll introduce you to mrs Smith. I know Burke deals a lot with her".
That was something she wasn't looking forward to. That old witch had been a friend of her grandmother; every link to her made the girl uneasy.
