After sunset Albus spotted Susan again in the dungeons. This time she was alone.

He immediately took the chance and followed her, but she soon noticed it and turned to face him.

Albus froze while she scanned his aspect and clothes. Seeing her perplexed gaze, he should have realized he was just the same as she saw him one month before.

"You!" She said annoyed "Still around here you are! Where do you come from?".

Albus swallowed hard "I'm sorry, Susan, but I have to insist. There's too much on the  stake. You must live! You're ending your school years. You can go far away and leave all behind".

She stared at him startled, then scolded him "Still up with this story? Kid, you escaped from st. Mungo's right? You're just crazy!".

"No! I know it! I know he will be the death of you. You'll die because of him! Have you ever noticed how much he's corrupted by dark magic? Are you a dark witch too?".

She angrily stepped towards him "How dare you judge us! You know nothing!".

"So I'm right? You know that as well! You know he'll become so dark that he can kill you!".

Susan stared at him shocked, then with a scarily proud tone she said "He's free to do that! I'd rather die by his hand than leaving him! You don't know him as much as I do. I owe him everything, even my life, my soul. I'll never choose to leave him. And if he'll ask my life, I'll gladly offer that to him".

Albus was speechless. He didn't know what to think about it, he even had doubts on the good reasons of his mission.

"Now go away. Don't come back here or I'll chase you even in the underworld".

She gave him a last sad grin, then turned her back to him and walked away.

Was it devotion? Was the effect of some potion or spell?  Madness or admiration? Albus couldn't know.

He didn't notice that someone in the dark shadows eavesdropped everything.

He just shivered because he had to admit that he had failed again. His hand raised to his neck and found the Time-Turner. And this gave him new strength to keep fighting.

Albus ran after her, ready to even break the time rules in order to make a difference, ready to tell her who he was and what Tom Riddle did to his family, to the whole world.

"Susan, wait!" He called sprinting and grabbed her wrist to stop her.

Albus gasped horrified.

His mind had been flooded by infinite visions that didn't belong to him.

Memories.

Author's note

At last things are getting more interesting, and funnier specially for me, for I'm really loving writing the upcoming parts (I have to admit it, just because Tom Riddle will be a main character).

There will be a long time digression as we'll dive into many memories, so chapters may be longer.

I just want to say that English is not my motherlanguage and I'm trying to improve it, so please forgive all the grammar errors and mistakes.

And share your opinions and suggestions in the comments! I'd really appreciate that.
