Albus reminded of his brother James talking about the secret passageaways to go out from the castle. In his real time those didn't exist anymore. But then, in 1945, they were still available.
He bumped into a Gryffindor group and met the twin girls again. The two seemed to be happy to see him again as well.
"Sorry, it's me again. Can you tell me where's the statue of Gunhilda of Gorsemore's statue?".
"How do you know about that?" One snapped. "Third floor, the corridor on the right" the other replied.
Albus ran to the stairs and reached the ugly monument. He had to force himself to remember how to do it, but luckily his memory was good.
He tapped the back of the statue with his wand saying "Dissendium".
It worked and the passageaway opened for him.
It took a long walk to reach the destination. Albus felt quite claustrophobic, but the moving helped him to clear his mind and being more determinated in getting what he wanted.
If he couldn't save her, he could even kill Riddle. But it was a dark side of him to conceive such a bad thought, that he soon deleted from his mind.
When the path started rising he felt victorious and impatiently he ran on the staircase, till his head bumoed agaist a door.
Albus carefully opened it and found himself into a cellar full of wooden boxes.
Other stairs led him to the main shop, Honeydukes, full of student so it was easier to hide amongst them.
He had to resist to his own gluttony to sneak out.
His lungs claimed that pure cool air, after so much dust and bad smells.
Albus felt free.
There were many people and foreigners, so his presence wouldn't have been noticed and he could walk nonchalantly.
He analyzed the face of every person he crossed through the road, looking for the dark hair and pale face of his target. He still had impressed the scene of her kissing the future worst wizard of his era. He just hoped he could be convincing enough to save her from Riddle.
Albus started hurriedly to look into the shops, till a group of noisy witches caught his attention.
In the middle of the group he recognized the one he was looking for. And Riddle was nowhere to be seen.
Without thinking he ran to her "Susan Black? Can we talk?".
All the girls turned to look at him, but he just focused on the one he was risking all for.
"You go on" she said to her friends with quite an imperative tone "I'll be right back".
Albus felt electrified to finally be alone with her, who led him in a deserted secondary street.
"Who are you?" She asked annoyed "You're from Hogwarts?".
"Yes. I'm someone who wants to help you" he had to inhale deeply for his heart was beating fast like he had been running a lot.
She gave him a nasty look "Thanks but I don't need your help. I'm the Head Girl at Hogwarts. Seven years living into this castle and I'm pretty sure I never saw you. I would know if there is any new student. So tell me who you are or I'll drag you right to the headmaster's office".
Albus was shocked for that menacing tone. She was stronger than he could imagine.
Shyly he said the truth "Name's Albus".
She let out a scoffing little laugh "Funny, like professor Dumbledore. One Albus is enough here, I'd say".
"Right" he almost wanted to take her by her shoulders but she stayed away from his reach "And I have to tell you something very very important. You have to break up with Riddle".
She stared at him in disbelief, then laughed "The hell, kid, you're totally insane! That was supposed to be a joke?".
"No, I'm serious. He is dangerous. He doesn't love you. He will kill you".
"Impossible" she stated hard taking out her wand "You've gone too far. Now you come with me".
He stepped back insisting "I'm just saying the truth. I know more than you can ever imagine. I know he will become evil. Worse than Grindelwald!".
"Enough!" She shouted with wild eyes "You insulted too much for today. Let's go".
She tried to grab him, but he jumped back and instinctly touched the pendant around his neck.
"Come here" she ordered "You can't run away".
But he did it. He ran away from her and activated the Time-Turner.
"Save yourself, Susan Black!" He shouted before vanishing.
