Chapter 4 - The Survival Test

I yawn as I stretch in a cat like way. I sigh in content. Another dreamless sleep and good rest. I then do my regular routine and decide to eat some cereal. I already know that Kakashi was lying on how we were going to puke. But then again Sakura made it up. When I finished, I look for Isamu and see him still silently dozing off in his sleep. I smile as I get two bowls. I fill one with water and in the other I place two slivers of meat that I bought lately.

I then walk towards the forest in what I presume is the meeting place. I sigh. I'm so going to get lost in here. I then walk around and was surprised by the scent of something familiar hitting my nose. I follow it and it lead me where Naruto and the rest of the squad meet. Is this a ability of being a hanyou? Then I thought, But in Mangas, aren't hanyou suppose to have animal ears and maybe a tail? I then quickly eliminate that thought. I didn't want to accidentally show my ears and tail, if I had any.

I walk towards Naruto and sit besides him. Me knowing that Kakashi was going to be late, decided to take a nap. While I was taking a nap, I hear the squad talking.

"Is she asleep?" Asks Sakura.

"Looks like it." Says Sasuke.

"Can someone tell me why were asking if she's asleep or not?" Asks a rather confused Naruto.

"Because we're going to talk about something privately and since we don't know who Etsuko is, we don't exactly trust her yet." Says a rather annoyed Sakura.

I was rather amused to where this was getting at.

"Anyway why don't we trust her? She's our teammate now." Says a equally annoyed Naruto.

"Idiot! It's because we haven't known her at all. This means that we don't know her weaknesses or strengths. Not to mention her powerful chakra that's animating from her..." Says a blunt Sasuke.

I can hear Sakura grunt in agreement.

"Not to mention her deadly aura when she's really angry. It almost feels like she's a higher, more powerful being than us. Like a predator." Says a shaky Sakura.

I then feel Kurama's chakra leaking again.

"But how can you guys judge her because of her first appearances. For all you guys know. She can be a kind and friendly girl. You guys just judge others without knowing them! I've been with her sometimes and she's never scary!" Yells a really angry Naruto.

I open my eyes slowly as I yawn. "Hmmm! That was my best nap yet!," I said cheerfully. 

I then look at Sakura and Sasuke groggily. "What was it that you guys were talking about me?" I ask innocently. They both look at me in a surprised expression. 

"H-how did you-" I wave my hand off. 

"Sshhh! Kakashi will make his great entrance." I say excitedly.

"5.."

"4.."

"3.."

"2...."

"1!"

Kakashi then walks out of the trees. "Sorry I'm late. A black cat came in my path." He said bluntly. 

We all sweat drop. That did not sound sorry to any of us Kakashi. He then clears his throat as he continues. 

"Now that we are all here let me explain to you about the test. First off, he dangles two bells from his hand. - You need to take away one of these bells away from me before the afternoon at exactly 12: 00 p.m. The one who doesn't have a bell would be tied to the log since they failed."
