Chapter 10 - Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!

Naruto's pov. (It's been a long time!)

Four days have passed since Etsuko has gone missing. Four! Kakashi-sensei didn't even bother to look for her! I'm so angry! We even trained our... what's it called... chakra control? Well Whatever! We were climbing trees yesterday and the day before and it was so boring! Everyday I look for Etsuko and come empty handed. This is so unfair! She's my only friend and she's gone missing!

I huff as we got out of Tazuna's house. We lead Tazuna to the bridge and were really surprised by how it looked like.

There were bodies everywhere. Motionless.

And was even weirder was that I think I see Etsuko standing next to a bunch of guys and a girl. I'm imagining things...

Right?

Etsuko's pov.

I smile as I see squad 7 come here at last. If you are wondering how I'm here, we'll it's a long story. So to cut it short I convinced Zabuza that I needed to come here.

I grin. Let's just say I used the puppy eyes.

I see Naruto's face and see him and the rest of squad 7 blink there eyes in confusion. I then wince as they were all yelling.

"Wait you were with them?!" They all yell in unison.

I give them a blank stare, like where else was I going to be when I was taken?

They stare at me coldly.

I sigh.

"Well... I was kidnapped by them so I had no other choice at that matter. But hey I learned a bunch of techniques!" I said cheerfully.

I look at them and see there faces. All of them were to be expected except for Naruto's. His face was full of confusion, sadness, happiness, and a lot of other things.

"E-Etsuko? Is that you?" He asks stuttering.

I smile as I nod and open my arms wide.

Naruto was about to run into them until Kakashi held him.

"Don't Naruto she's not on our side.." He said grimly.

My smile turns into a frown.

"Who says I'm with anybody?" I ask.

All eyes turn to me with wide eyes.

"I'm with all of you!~" I chirp.

Now everyone was confused.

"I will never abandon my friends! And that counts as squad 7, Zabuza, and you Haku!" I said hugging him.

Haku smiles and Zabuza just grunts as they pat my head.

I grin.

"Yay! We're one big family!" I whoop, forcing myself to be hyper to ignore their looming deaths.

But with me here trying to buy time until Gato comes, maybe they won't die? I hopefully think, grasping at straws at this point.
