Chapter 13 - The Curse Mark

Etsuko pov.

I then stand there completely baffled at what I saw before me. Like seriously.. I thought that they would only come when Sasuke got the mark and since he didn't.... well you get the picture.

I flash-step in front of them.

"What are you guys doing here? Don't you know that Pedo Snake-sennin failed to put his curse mark on Sasuke?" I ask.

The sound ninjas look at me suspiciously and were slightly... surprised?

"How do you know of Orochimaru's plan?" Said what I presume is the leader.

I smile and motion my finger towards my mouth.

"S-e-c-r-e-t~" I said playfully.

I turn around and notice that Sakura has a scared but relieved face. Naruto was still knocked out and... wait... DUCK HAIR SASUKE IS TOO?? I face palm myself. "Why did I save him in the first place if you was going to faint anyways.." I thought.

Then I notice something strange coming off from Sasuke. Almost evil.. But Orochimaru didn't bite him when I left... right? Okay now I feel really stupid.

So I ignore the sound ninjas and walk towards Sakura. Her eyes widen in fear but I walk in a straight line, avoiding her trap. I bend down towards my knees and check Sasuke's neck. I mentally groan. There it was in plain sight, the darn curse mark of power. I sigh. If this was going like how it was in the anime then that meant that Sasuke will us it.

"Okay. Now that I know what the heck just happened while I was gone.. I can't do anything now." I said.

I turn towards Sakura with a apologetic look.

"Sorry but all I can do is heal Sasuke and his fever and hope for the best." I said sadly.

Sakura looked at me in a angry but understanding way. I walk towards Sasuke and start healing him. His fever got down drastically and he was breathing normally again. I then do a few hand jutsus and slam them on his curse mark.

He silently screams in agony but as soon as the pain came, he relaxed. Sakura was sending daggers at my head.

"I just did a jutsu so he can feel less pain and to make it easier for him to copy and control the curse seal..." I said sadly.

I then do a close-eye smile as I wave at her.

"Sorry but your on your own now. You can do this. I know you can.. Just believe in yourself. You are stronger than what you think." I said patting her back.

I then smelt fear and immediately got up. I need to stop him.

I look at Sakura with a exasperated look. She seems to have gotten what I wanted to do and nodded.

I smile at her as I teleport where the scent of fear was coming from.

I then see Gaara about to use his sand coffin on the poor gennin. I just do a high pitch whistle and he stops . I then walk calmly towards him.

"Gaara-chan. I know mother says for you to kill them but is it really that worth it? Your not a monster you are just special and no one understands you because of that. And mother please let poor Gaara-chan sleep. Please?" I ask Gaara and Shuk.

Gaara was stunned to not say the least. He was so surprised that he let the poor gennin go and his sand completely went back towards his gourd. I smile warmly as I wave at the frighten gennin. They run away and left their scroll behind. I sigh as I pick up the scroll. And guess what? It was an earth scroll, exactly the scroll I was looking for. I sweat drop. "Man what a coincidence." I thought.
