The rain pelts my skin.

Today is a miserable day

For a love one has just passed

Protecting the future, the young, and the old

Yet breaking their promise to one

No one keeps their promises

Not even him

Today was the funeral of the third Hokage.

I'm wearing the official depressing black cloths of mourning, I had black ninja shorts, with nets covering my legs, a black spaghetti strap under with a black shall covering part of my neck and chest with black silk sleeves.

This might be my most fashionable cloths I have ever worn, and it's just depressing that I'm wearing this on a funeral.

Izumo was standing right next to me with a sad and sympathetic look on his face.

There wasn't exactly any cloths for dogs as big as Izumo. So I had to wrap a black bandanna around his neck as a replacement for black cloths.

I grab my village headband, and I  grip on it hard as happy memories go through my mind.

But all good times must come to an end..

I feel the unfamiliar burning in my eyes, as well as something starting to block my throat.

I shake my head as I clear my thoughts, and tie the headband loosely around my neck.

Ever since the Orochimaru incident, I had the headband around my neck instead of my forehead. That pedophile could pop out any moment and it didn't help that I caught his interest.

Not to mention in the anime, Orochimaru always got what he wants. Always... until Sasuke came, but that isn't this time period, it won't be until three more years that Orochimaru is screwed over, and then another year to become a somewhat good man?

Honestly it was really confusing how Orochimaru, the scariest and worst villain in the series, to become good all of a sudden when having returned.

I shake my head.

Now wasn't the time to be thinking of the possible future. The timeline has already altered from the original plot anyways ever since Shukaku wasn't sealed away immediately. I sigh. Dang butterfly effect.

I walk out of the house and find Naruto right next to the door, waiting for me. His eyes were clouded with grief but a small, very small spark was seen when he saw me.

"Ready to go?" I ask softly.

He nods and we walk out to have a slow painfully silent walk to the cementary.

When we got there, we see the whole village there. The villagers were on one side, and the loyal ninja were in the front. As numerous people give there speech on how great Hiruzen was as a hokage, as a man, I couldn't help but feel a tad bit of anger. That old man promised me that he would come back alive, he promised! But what does he do? He leaves me with a broken village and its hollowed people.

It was...unfair.

Small tears escape my eyes.

It's so unfair. So please...

come back to us.

Naruto places a reassuring hand on the Konohamaru shoulder, his eyes blue sky eyes dull, giving me the severity of the loss since he always had his eyes so bright and full of mischief, now gone.

His face was bandaged from the fight he had from what was once our enemy, now turned into a friend. Although they left soon after the fight, they knew that they would be invasive, since it was them that brought an opening to his death.
