I wish they knew.
They couldn't even begin to fathom
What I'd been through. They simply stop and stare,
As if I've disrupted their normal air.
They glare with suspicion,
Claiming to be an unlikely witness. They say I should forgive and forget.
But how could I erase the memories
Of you so kindly wishing me dead? What I saw as hatred,
You deemed as neglect.
But I've learned they're
One in the same,
So this I won't regret:I will murder your memory,
I will ease myself of this pain.
But you, begging for my forgiveness?
This I cannot do the same.
