I cannot bear another night
With your words
Itching away at my heart.
What do you care if I
Waste my life;
Until death do us part?
I apologise if I hurt
Your precious feelings.
You destroyed mine,
Doing so without thinking.
I know they tell me
I ought to forgive and forget.
But as smart as I am,
I can't seem to grasp the concept.
But tell me
Why you're so surprised
To discover I'm not
Quite that nice?
I refuse to shut my mouth,
Though you insist
I keep it closed.
I sincerely regret to inform you
I am not the girl you think you know.
