dead water

2015

There is a never-ending violence
Droning on in my head.
I push it to the side,
Hoping in neglect it will end.

Addressing your problems
Doesn't seem like a solution.
Not when your problems
Are seemingly lucid.

The smile you see is fake.
I feign my positivity.
Inside I'm dark and bitter.
My blood pumps negativity.

I normally write in the third person,
For a reason I see clear.
Why admit that I'm the girl
Who's always drowning in her tears?
