"Crystal she... Ok! Ok! Stop giving me that face of worry and anticipation. It's too much pressure! Crystal's mother had some complication and is in the operation theatre. There. I said it. Now drop the pressurising looks.," Ji-Hae blurted out.
We huddled closer to her and she whispered the details. We were aware of keeping it to ourselves. For Crystal to have only left her mother's side after what seemed forever for just 2 mere days and have this happen, she would never leave her mother after this. I hope she was fine. I could not do much to help her as I this was her personal family matter. I should focus on the task at hand which is my stylist job.
I glanced at Hoshi who had no idea of the current situation. He was laughing along with his members. The contrast between his expression and Crystal's expression at this time was depressing. Well, he would find out later. It was best to not disturb him. It would not be good for him to find out such bad news in the midst of a happy music video shooting.
45 minutes later~
Hoshi rushed out the place. His face painted with extreme worry. He ran at lightning speed. The others watched as he did so. The moment he was out fo view, the members talked amongst themselves and so did some of the staff members. I kept quiet. The room only quietened down when the director shouted for silence.
When filming ended, the boys got washed up and changed out. They passed their clothes to us. It was quite obvious that the boys were worried for Hoshi, who had rushed out without informing them.
Minghao passed me his clothes, wondering what had happened.
"Speaking of which, I had not seen Crystal around either. Did anything happen?" he asked me.
"Yes actually. You know Crystal's mother is in a coma in the hospital, right?" I replied.
He nodded and I carried on.
"Well, she had a complication and was sent to the operating theatre. Crystal had to come down to the hospital in case anything were to happen. S-so yeah," I explained.
His mouth formed an 'o'. I think some of the members around heard me because they turned to me with wide eyes. They started to crowd around me. They had their gaze locked on me. Oh no, why did they have to? Please do not crowd around me. Ah, this is scary. Help me-
"Um, guys. I don't think we should crowd around Hee-Young like this. She isn't good with crowds," Minghao spoke up.
They acknowledged him and nodded, some of them shuffled away and would hear more from the members who stayed. I told them what I knew which was not much. Nonetheless, I put a disclaimer that I may not be very reliable so it was best to hear it straight from Hoshi's mouth. They thanked me for telling them.
"Soonyoung should have told us, though. We were very worried," one of them said before walking away.
Soon the small crowd dispersed and I could breathe again. I hate crowds.
After we had packed everything up, I headed home. On the way home, I checked my group chat with China line. Apparently, they had called Hoshi many times before he picked up. What Ji-Hae told me was indeed correct. However, Crystal's mother's condition was still unknown. She was still in the operating theatre. My heart shrank in fear. Anything could happen. Hopefully, the better, brighter outcome would win.
"Are you sure you're fine going home alone?" Jun texted me.
I texted back that I was fine and I could take care of myself. By then, I was near where I live at that moment so there was nothing to worry about. I was a few blocks away to my house.
