I like to address my emotional connection to Hee-young. When I made her character, I decided to have her to represent a part of me that is my social anxiety. It is not that critical but it does in a way affect me. With Hee-young overcoming her social anxiety, I also hope I overcome mine too. Too bad, I am not good with animals haha.
When The8 thinks if he should proceed with his love in China or return to Hee-young, he mentions this quote: "If you fall in love with 2 people, pick the second. If you really loved the first person, you wouldn't have fallen for the other," I admit having believed this quote when I was young. Similar to Minghao, I realised it was shit but it was too late and I had made the wrong decision. (No, I didn't get attached because my young immature ass was confused.) Basically, guys, pick the one who means the most to you and has had a positive impact on you. No matter the order.
